November!

November already! Wow! Can't believe how fast the year is going, each month seems to go even faster than the last one. Halloween has been and gone (that's one holiday I look forward to being over, to be honest!) Kiki still loves it, and this year she wanted to go over to her friends neighborhood and go trick or treating with them. It worked out great really, because the kids she'd gone with in the previous two years (around this neighborhood) were apparently not doing the 'hayride' this year. Not the kids choice I'm sure, but the parents had decided not to plan anything. They may have taken them to a nearby neighborhood, I'm not sure, as we don't really see them that often now.

This year was the first year I made Kristen's costume!! Not something I wanted to do, but Kristen decided weeks ago that she wanted to try and make a costume from the World of Warcraft game, which she is still very much in to! It started with just a mask, which was also going to be part of a school project. I told her that's all we would do because I just didn't have time to help her try and make all the other parts...... yeah, well, that was a waste of breath! She insisted she wanted to do it herself, so I went to the craft store with her and bought things she would need, and of course I ended up doing it all anyway! My choice really, I found it easier to try and make it while she was at school, and when she came home she would help me paint some of it. So, here is this years costume...... Apparently a Rogue from WOW, Tier 5!!! And a few others from Halloween Night.

The mask she made, but didn't wear! Instead she painted her face.

Prior to Halloween, I celebrated my 51st birthday!!! I had a lovely day relaxing, knitting, having a trip to the local yarn store, and face-timing with my sister and brother in law. They had a glass of 'champers' with me :-)

And I played around with some new makeup I got :-)

Thank you for my birthday gifts :-) These are the lovely Karbonz needles, they are wonderful to use.

And finally before I go, I forgot to start this post with a picture of Kiki, after just getting home from the dentist! She had 4 baby teeth pulled that day. Tomorrow, we go to the ortho to finally get her braces on!!!
