Kristen got a 'Hamtrack' for her hamster Bella :-)
Cheryl and Steve popped over on Christmas morning for Mimosas. Last year we went over to their house but her boys had gone to CA to visit their Dad this year, so they came over here.
Christmas dinner turned our perfectly, I was really pleased with my organic turkey, it was moist and cooked to perfection. I made mushroom and leek stuffing from the Clean Eating website AND made my own cranberry sauce for the first time this year (also from the CE website), both turned out really good. I should have used the tripod and timer so I could be in the picture - must do that next year!
'Grandma' reminded me on Christmas night that we hadn't taken any family photos! I usually do it on Christmas Eve. Luckily it wasn't too late.
So, that's all the photos from this Christmas. I can't believe it's time to take the decorations down :-( I'm holding on and probably won't do it til Sunday, or even Monday when Kristen goes back to school. We always kept decorations up through New Years Eve back home, but it just depends how I feel each year as to when I take them down. I know many of you in blogland have already packed your stuff away. I'm feeling rather lazy though and just don't have the energy to drag all the boxed back in the house from the garage! Right now I'm still trying to remove all the gifts and goodies from the living room and keep the kitchen clean - it's a never ending chore for some reason!

Looks like a fun and fabulous day Denise! I have to say, I am mentally ready to take it all down, but we always leave ours up until the Epiphany - it seems like forever this year! xoxo
My Christmas decorations are still up. I usually wait till New Years Day.
What a Christmas, looks full of happiness and joy!
Hi Denise!! We usually keep our decorations up through New Year's day, but we took them down yesterday. We have a party on New Year's day and then I go back to work. I was itching to get the house back in order too. Have a great time at the New Year's Eve. Party!! Happy New Year!! ((BIG HUGS))!!
Looks like you all had a very nice Christmas!
Happy New year to you and your family! :)
first of all, love the idea of a turkey soup. After having lots of leftover sarnies (packed full of bread sauce, cranberry sauce, paxo stuffing, the odd squished roast spud), I finally used up the last of our chicken by making Bill a chicken Fricassée. I'm sure it wasn't a trad Fricassée, just my short cut version. chicken in white sauce with crispy bacon on top. The smell of that was bloomin' scrummy too, I tell you!
Glad you had such a good Christmas, fab photos.
I would have posted on RDD today, but time has got away from me. Yesterday we had lunch out with most of Bill's family to celebrate his mum's 87th birthday. Didn't get back until after 4. Today we've been food shopping (again!), then into town. Honestly, Christmas is just far too busy!!!!
Thank you for your comment. Seems to be a very popular post, and so far everyone loves the idea! I'm really touched!
Wishing you a happy and safe NYE, and all the best for a healthy and happy 2012.
xx
hi Denise!
enjoyed the Christmas pics and the turkey soup looks delicious! :)
We still have Christmas decorations up. I keep them up till New Year's Day. I will take down the Thomas Kincaid Winter Village probably in February.
Happy New Year!!
xxxx
Just popped in to wish you a blessed and happy New Years! ((Hugs))
Happy New Year, Denise. Hope 2012 brings you only good things! I made turkey soup after Thanksgiving and then froze a lot. Later I added canned green chilies and black beans and made it a SW version that we added condiments like you do with chili- cheese, onions, etc... (((Hugz)))
