Rainy Day Saturday

Well as you can see I've moved my diary over to blogger. I think I will keep it here for a while as I like the more simple look to it. The backgrounds are easy to change so that will be fun to quickly add a new look whenever I want. I like that I don't have to add a ton of graphics for each season, and adding pictures is pretty easy too. To be honest I don't know why I didn't change over sooner. I have my knitting blog hosted at blogger.com too which I like posting to, so perhaps I will post more often - who knows. I'm still working on adding a few things to my sidebar but it looks pretty ok in here, don't ya think?

Today is a day for definitely staying home. It is pouring with rain outside and it's pretty cold. The coldest we've had I think. The high is supposed to only be 42, and I don't think it's even that yet. I did have to run out to the grocery store this morning to get Kristen's birthday cake for tomorrow and some individual icecream tubs and some kids juice boxes. I also bought some firewood so we could light a 'real' fire (instead of just a firelog) but it seems the wood is a little damp and isn't burning very well. Oh well, it sure does smell cozy though.

I do hope you can leave me a comment on here if you stop by. I'm hoping the comments work ok for you all, you don't have to register to use it or anything, so hopefully there won't be any problems.

Hi Denise! I've never tried Blogger but I did open an account years ago. Black Friday wasn't worth it to me but I didn't have much trouble with crowds. Our local mall is being totally remodeled so I figured most people would go elsewhere and that was the case. Other Kohl's were able to open at 4 AM but there was a local ordinance in our area that prohibited it. I had pretty good luck last year on Cyber-Monday so will try loooking for some online deals this Monday. Have fun at the party and Happy Birthday to Kristen! (((Hugz)))

Surprise!!! Not only is your blog in a new home (which reminds me I must change the link in my blog), but I'm actually posting that I dropped in... AND I blogged... two days in a row!! Now get up off the floor... and close your mouth before you catch flies in there ;-) Just kidding!

Can't wait to see pics from Kiki's party! Doug told me to tell you that your Christmas package will be late (since he won't be home from travelling until Dec 19). We'll think of it as a "new year's" package this year!!

Love ya & "talk" soon xoxo

Hi Denise I rather like blogger too, it's nice and easy isn't it? I must refurbish my main site but I do like the convenience of blogger. I read some of your previous post on your old blog. I have a 5 y.o. niece who is crazy about HSM too. It certainly seems to have caught the imagination. I have watched and love the complete innocence of it. I need to find something for my niece for Christmas in the HSM range - It's not going to be difficult :) It sounds as though your Thanksgiving was fun although I always panic about Christmas,I'm glad I haven't got that to contend with too! Hope Kristen's party is fun and that she has a wonderful day. xxxx

Hi Denise! It looks nice in here! I am getting weary of the constant changing graphics...I don't have a lot of time either. I may check out blogger...what are you going to do with your domain?

Right now I'm knitting a scarf for my sister and working on Juliet for me. I just finished a clapotis scarf but i'm not thrilled with it. It's ok. I'm also still working on my Monkey Socks, they've taken a backseat to Christmas knitting.

Hi my sweet friend,
Thank you for droping by and for the kind words you left me. You have the gift of liftng people up - thank you.
I've never tried blogger either but it looks great. I've kept my blog extra simple also so swapping themes is really fast now compared to before. You did a great job with setting this up. I've just changed your link over so I'll be back.

Happy Birthday to Kirsten and I hope she has a great party.

With love and hugs,
Julie xx
