Getting busy. . . .

I'm sitting here at the computer checking email, so I thought I'd write a quick post. I think what's been stopping me from wanting to blog here is that I don't really have pictures to share each day and I don't want to take too long posting. Perhaps if I just make little updates then it will be better than no post at all.

We've had a lovely weekend, I'm happy to say "as usual" because most of our weekends are really nice. Relaxing, fun, no stress - all that good stuff. We're getting in to a weekend routine these days where Jason works all day Saturday at home in his office. Kristen plays next door with Connor, or they take turns and come here and go there :-) I get to potter around just catching up on laundry if I want to, or knitting, making lunches, popping to the store if I need to, but for the most part just relaxing. Then on Sunday we have 'our family day'. Jason has started coming to church with me and Kristen every week now. After church we try to do something together (or if it's not something I fancy doing, Jason and Kristen do it together). For instance last week Jason took Kristen and Boo to a nearby river to go hiking. The river is dry so they got to walk along it looking for fossils and generally 'exploring' the land. Not something I really fancied doing, so I got to sit home and knit ;-)

Just yesterday after church we went for pizza (we usually go to lunch afterwards, as a weekly treat) then we took Kristen to Baskin Robbins for icecream. This was so she could use her 'free icecream' voucher that she got from her teacher last week. Why'd she get this you ask? Well, she got her first '9 week' report card and got ALL A's and made the Honor Roll :-) We are so proud of her. As a special treat from us we took her to the toy store after the icecream and let her pick out a toy. She chose THIS, it's the dog from the new movit Bolt, coming out on Nov 21st.

Now it's another new week and back to 6am wake ups! I can't wait for Thanskgiving week when there's no school all week ;-)

OK, I better jump off here before this turns in to a 'not so short' post (which I think it already has)!!!

Hi Denise, I love relaxing weekend but I don't get many of those. Today's Eddies birthday. I put a couple of pictures there from this morning. Time sure goes by! Congrats to Kristen on her report card. I want to see that new movie too. Hugs

Hi Denise,
It's great that you had a relaxing weekend. I am like Susan and do not see many of those. I have planned to take the boys to that movie during the holidays. Good job to Kristen. HUGS

not surprised you are proud of K, I would be too.

Enjoy your week, even if you do have to get up early! :0)

oh wow, you have a clever cookie on your hands....congratulations to Kiki getting straight A's and making the honor roll. That was really nice of her teacher to give her the free ice-cream voucher. hasn't school changed!

Not long now until we leave. We arrive in the USA on Wednesday morning and then go via Dallas TX (yes your right via your state) then on to Detroit. I hope we'll be safe in Detroit, I've heard a few things, but we'll just have to be careful. I'll try and blog while we're away when we can sort out a computer connection and all.

Have a wonderful weekend. Very big hugs and I'll be in touch. Love, Julie xx

Hi Denise I'm surprised you wouldn't want to go for a walk at the river. But I can see you got some knitting in so that's wonderful. Glad to hear Jason is going to church with you and Kristen. Big Hugs
