Field Trip

Last Thursday Kristen had a field trip at school. This year they all went to the Austin Zoo, and surprise surprise... I decided to go with them! I didn't get to post pics last week because I got side-tracked with the easter pictures. So, here's a few photos to share with you....

Kristen's favorite part of the day was seeing the wolves! I don't know what it is about them, but they fascinate her. She comes home every week with a book from the school library all about wolves, and loves to sit and read about them.

The rest of the pics are self-explanatory

Hi Denise! Interesting about Kristens fascination with wolves. We saw them in the wild in Yellowstone and people were waiting for hours in the wee hours of the morning or at dusk just to spot them from a great distance.

Thanks for your thoughts about Kali. I guess I just don't want to go down that road again myself but what can you do?

Glad you saw the "It's a boy" news on FB!

I would imagine the fascination with wolves is their "dog-like" quality! She is either going to be a vet... or own a Huskie when she's older ;-)

BTW... I can't get over how Kiki is looking more and more likeyou every year!

Thanks for taking us to the Zoo with you!

Love ya xo

Hi Denise,
You pictures remind me again of days gone by with Kari at that age. We were somewhere and she found a little feather on the ground. She announced to me it was a "squirrel feather". She must have been about 6 or 7. The feather was very small and gray, and I must admit that it looked like it was from a squirrel, if they HAD feathers and not fur. But it is amazing what a child can see in things. HUGS

Happy Tuesday. Enjoyed looking at your photos and catching up. Your Easter table looked pretty.

Have a lovely week. I feel a day behind because yesterday was a bank holiday. I keep thinking it's Monday when it's almost the middle of the week already!
