This and That!

I thought I better post here before another week has gone by! Speaking of which, can you believe a MONTH has already gone by – hello February!

I wondered what to write about? Melissa requested pictures of my cupboards! I never did post any, so here they are. . .  the rest of the kitchen is still a work in progress!

As you can see (above) this side of the cupboards is all bowls and plates, and glasses next to them.

The left side looks a little less organized, but it’s the best I can do. Top left shelf is a bit of a mixture, middle shelf houses my electric knife, bread cutter, electric hand whisk and scales, bottom shelf is all vitamins and allergy meds! The right hand side is cups/mugs, measuring cups and jugs and a set of casserole dishes. Exciting stuff eh!

What else have I been up to? Card making! I want to get back in to making my own cards with my Stampin Up stuff. I have a few stamps and supplies, paper, pens etc so I want to put them to good use. I’ve been making ‘Thank You’ cards this week, still got a few to send out after Christmas, so these should work nicely. I want to try and make some Christmas themed ones ready for next year, well actually this year – Christmas 2011 :-)  I also want to try and make my own gift tags for my knitted gifts. You can order personalized ‘knitting’ rubber stamps from Etsy, so I will be doing that soon too.

Once I get in the swing of making these I think they’d make a nice little gift set too – half a dozen cards  w/envelopes and a ribbon wrapped around them would be a lovely stocking stuffer, don’t you think?

Biscuits for Boo!

We’ve been meaning to bake these biscuits for Boo every since ‘Santa Paws’ left them in his stocking ;-) We finally got round to doing that last weekend.

Kristen loves baking with me in the kitchen :-) And every time we do it, I can’t help but think back to the days my Mam would teach me how to roll out dough and bake pies and make pastry. I have such sweet memories of it, I hope Kristen will have too.

Hi Denise, your cards are very pretty! My kitchen cabinets look much fuller than yours lol I guess it's a little less organized. I should take a photo :o)
I hope Boo loved his treats, I used to bake for Tequila & she loved the treats. She even counter surfed a batch that was cooling, I guess she couldn't wait lol. Thankfully I heard her & stopped her before she ate too many. Hugs

I haven't used my stamps to make cards in years! I need to get the stuff back out! It looks like Kristen had a lot of fun making the treats. I'm sure Boo is one happy dog. Carla

I'm so glad that Kiki enjoys baking with you. I have memories of doing that with my Mom too!

Your cards are beautiful. You should be putting those up on your Etsy site too! A little gift pack would be nice for people to purchase as gifts ;-)

Love ya xo

I LOVE cooking with my girls! Even though they are older now, it's fun to see them getting more and more confident with their cooking.

Hi Denise!
Your kitchen looks wonderful, so nicely organized too. I love the color of your cabnets.
I can't think of anything I would rather do with my daughter than bake. She is 22 now and she is always taking about us baking together.
We baked doggie biscuits as Christmas gifts for all our doggie friends a few years back. It was so much fun and the dogs loved too! : )
I'm sure Kristan will cherish these memories you are making with her.
xx

PS Hope that snow by-passes you Friday!

You'd really enjoy a programmed we have on telly in the afternoons. It's called 'May the best house win' and 5 strangers nose around each others homes and give it a mark out of ten. the winner wins £1,000 at the end of the week. I LOVE this programme, and have seen several houses that I would just love to live in. My mum even phoned me up earlier this week to make sure I was watching it, as one of the houses was just over the top with floral goodness and fairy lights, that she thought of me straightaway and wanted to make sure I was watching it!!

Peeping into your cupboards just reminded me of it, so I hope ITV take it over to the USA and make a version of it there.

Love that K loves to cook with you. My little one does too, and I'm with you there, it's all about making the memories for them :o)
