Halloween Bash

We had our housewarming/Halloween party on Saturday. It was a blast! Everyone had a great time, the food I did went down really well - I forgot to take pictures of the tables with the goodies on. I made a pukin pumpkin! This is a picture I took last year.

I made candy kebabs for the kids, and cupcakes, graveyard pudding, and spooky bread fingers (where you put a sliced almond on the end to make it look like a finger nail!).  We had black widow martini's a keg of beer and lots and lots of wine!!!

Here's some of the pictures, but I must admit they didn't turn out as clear as I would have liked them.

More snow pics

I wasn't finished snapping pictures yesterday when I posted, so here's quite a few more for anyone that wants to see them (and by that I mean, for you Nenna) :-)

 This might be the first snow angel Kristen has ever made!!!

I walked up to the top of the driveway to take these next few photos.

When we went back inside we saw deer walking across the back of our property.

It's Here!!

8pm last night, I opened the patio door to let Bindi out and I saw it, white fluffly snowflakes falling from the sky! I called to Kristen and well, can we just say 'giddy with excitement' :) It was forecast to start after midnight but it came early. Only an inch was supposed to fall but I think we got at least three.

We woke up to this, this morning....

 and yes, she's already out there in it :-)

Pumpkin Patch

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update from last week and some photos. It was my 49th birthday last Thursday!! Which means it was my brother's birthday too, so happy birthday Ken :-)  It was low key this year (perhaps next year I'll celebrate BIG!), we had an indian meal at home, Jason had flowers delivered to me, and I got a trip out to my local yarn store to buy some yummy yarn.

On Friday Kristen and I went to a field trip with K12, to the local pumpkin patch. I told sis I'd post some pictures, so here ya go. . . . . .

 

I'll post later in the week, still trying to get the house ready for the party at the weekend!!!!

For Nenna!

My days are so busy with 6 hours of school each day and watching Bindi every minute, I'm hardly getting a chance to get on here. But, I told my sis I had some pictures of the kitchen nook to share that I had cleared up last weekend. I have bought some sheer curtains to put up in there, but haven't hung them yet.

All self-explanatory, as I mentioned I have some white sheers I'm going to hang just to soften the window areas. This is the breakfast nook just off the kitchen. On the other side of the kitchen is the dining area, it's really really small, not a room at all, just a small area that I have my other table!!! I'll show that once I get it cleared of stuff.
