Can You See Me Now?

Hi everyone, I'm here and all is well. All went well at the surgery yesterday too. It is AMAZING! For the first time in over 20 years I didn't reach for glasses this morning as I got out of bed. And I'm sitting here now (on my laptop on the sofa) looking around the room and can see everything clearly :-)

I was amazed at all the comments I got yesterday, I only checked my blog first thing this morning, so when I saw so many of you had wished me well and were wondering how it went, I wanted to write just a quick post while coffee is brewing.

Everything went great. What I liked about yesterday was that I didn't feel half as nervous as I thought I would. Actually I was hardly nervous at all, and I give praise to God for that because I prayed for an inner peace and to have no fear, and He answered those prayers. And I just kept asking Him to be with me throughout the surgery, and I felt like He was. I told Jason that he and Kristen could leave and go eat breakfast or something because I had to be at the appointment at 10am and my surgery wasn't until 11am. I didn't want them just sitting around bored waiting for me. But I didn't feel alone. While I was on the table getting my eyes done I would hear a comforting voice in my head saying "I am with you my child". :-) I couldn't believe I was actually lying there getting laser surgery. It was all over within about 10 minutes.

OK, so coffee is ready, I'll be back later with another post.

I'm glad you didn't feel alone during the surgery, and that you weren't afraid.

Also pleased to hear how quick and simple it was. I shall tell Bill, though I'm sure he still wouldn't want to go for it.

Not sure about comments. Haloscan has gone totally nutty today, I'm sure they'll sort themselves out at some point.

lots of love xxxx

Glad all went well Denise, I had no idea you were doing this as most of your photos are without glasses. Sorry I missed that post, stay well, hugs

That is amazing! I am glad you can see. A friend of mine had it done a few years ago and is very happy.

Hi Denise! I'm so happy it went so great and that you felt calm and safe thru the procedure. Amazing that it only took 10 minutes and such great results already! I had a retina problem (not detached but a lesser form and I always forget what they called it) so I had a laser repair on that. No pain, just some bright white lights flashing. (((Hugz)))

Wow! Ditto what Darylynn said - so happy all went well! It truly is amazing - I never knew that it was so minimal - 10 minutes or so?? WOW! And instant results! WOW! What sort of price range would this procedure be - and does average health insurance cover? Maybe I should rethink this - the freedom from glasses would be OH SO WONDERFUL!

Take care of yourself!
Hugs,
Lynn

Wow Denise both you and Cindy are brave. That is cool though. I can't see anything up close, not even this computer and now my distance is getting worse. I am glad you got comfort from our heavenly Father. Hugs

Hi Denise,
I didn't realise you were having this done, but I'm so thrilled for you, that's amazing that you felt God's comforting presence right there with you and that it went so well. Can I ask if you had problems with distance as well as close up? So did you have any pain afterwards? You must be so happy it's all over and done with and to have such a terrific result is simply wonderful!
Big huggles, Julie xx

Hi Denise, Yay for YOU! You did it. That's so wonderful that you can see so well so soon. I KNOW! The catarack surgery was that short too and they give you stuff so you're awake but comfortable through the whole procedure. Right? I love being able to see again. Not that I had laser surgery, but I think the techniques are similar for cateract and laser surgery too. Take good care of your eyes!

Love, Mary

Hi Denise, I'm glad that everything went well for you, & that you can already see so clearly. Technology is amazing! I wish I wasn't so chicken to get this done. I wear contacts, but it would be wonderful to be free from it. Awesome, that you felt such peace from the Lord! Happy 4th, & hugs!
