Hump Day Already!

It's finally raining here in Texas! I don't think we've had rain for well over a month so we are certainly in need of it. The temps are dropping too, in the 70's today with the rain and possible thunder forecast, and mid 80's the rest of the week.

It was very dark when we went out to school this morning at 7.10am and very wet and rainy, making the roads a little busier and of course slippery. It's still raining a lot now and as much as I'd like to stay home and be cozy I will be going out in half an hour to meet Cindy for coffee. We haven't managed a 'starbucks' for about 3 weeks now! It will be nice to catch up and then I'll see her again tomorrow night for book club :-) After coffee I'm going to head to the gym which is right near Starbucks and do my cardio workout on the treadmill (as per my PT instructions) ;-) Yesterday's workout was really good. I told my PT that if I didn't have him I'd have certainly stopped at 5 when working on my abs, instead he pushed me to do 15! It's well worth having someone push you that little further. I hope I can do the same for myself once our sessions are over.

So, other than the gym and coffee this morning, not much else going on right now. Kristen is doing well, she had no more incidents on Sunday. I just made sure she ate more veg and fiber and she's been fine ever since. She's doing great in school right now, all of her grades are between 95-100 :-) I had a parent/teacher conference with her 2nd grade teacher last week and she is very happy with Kristen's progress and said she 'has many strengths' - hopefully she continues to do well throughout the year. Jason and I are so very proud of her.

OK, I'm off to get ready to head out. Have a great 'Hump' day.

I'm not surprised you are proud of K, I'd be proud at such a report too!

ooh, Starbucks. I would love one right now. I'd hoped to have a caramel macchiato last week, but didn't have time to get there. Not sure when I will have time, I rarely venture into town these days.

Would love a quiet day. I've had runaway horses in my driveway today, nope, not a joke, I'm not drunk and I wasn't dreaming. I will write about it (and show a photo to prove it) tomorrow. Such drama.

Ok. got to go. Have a great day, enjoy your coffee :O) xx

Hi Denise,
Have a great day. It is raining here too. That means that I don't have to scrap the windows and get frost off like I did yesterday.

Not much else going on... I did buy the boys their costumes and started my Christmas shopping yesterday.

Hi Denise,
I need to get back to the gym today, too. We moved our cruise from March 9th to January 3rd, so I need to start working out in earnest again! I've lost some of my muscle tone but I should be able to get it back pretty quickly if I go consistently. I hope you have a blessed Thursday. Big hugs!

My Mom's chemo is for Breast Cancer - the reason I changed the look of my blog :) She had her first one yesterday - they said her hair should have completely fallen out by her next appt in 3 wks!!! She has a wig at the ready :) She's very upbeat about it all and I hope that is the attitude that prevails as I think keeping a positive attitude really helps.

Glad you are enjoying going to the gym - I am too. I go every morning except Wednesdays and I find that if I don't go I get really grumpy (my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!!) Have you managed to drag Jason there yet? If you thinking having the PT is the thing keeping you motivated then maybe you can ask for more sessions for your birthday or Christmas. Speaking of which I'm late to the post office as usual - there'll be something turning up for you soon I promise!!!!

Sadie - would love to see those pics!!!!

Hi Denise! Congrats to Kristen on her good school report! Sounds like a student I would've loved to have. Does she speak with any accent at all? Wondering if she's getting influenced by mom, or Texas playmates, or what? I used to love it when I had students with British accents. :) Yes, you should use that certificate as a birthday treat this weekend! (((Hugz)))

Hi Denise! I'm not sure how many kids are coming. Baby Ava (her best girlfriend's) who was born a week later is coming. She's walking so we're hoping Ryan will succomb to peer pressure and walk. He can stand but if you try and make him walk, he sinks down. Pat's family is so large and there's quite a few kids so we'll see. Enjoy your BD weekend! (((Hugz)))

Hi sweetie,
Hope you had a great weekend. It sounds like your PT is really motivating you...wonderful.

I'm way behind with blogging. just don't want to bore everyone to tears with just my ordinary every day happenings. I'm happy with all of it,but I don't think it makes very interesting reading knowing how precious time is to everyone. I'm off to see Miss Sooze. Big hugs.xx
