Dancing in the Street!

It rained!!!! We finally got a downpour on Saturday afternoon and Kiki said when it rained she would go out and dance in it - and that's just what she did. . . .

along with Connor, Emily and Boo!  I stood under the porch (had to keep the camera dry!) and snapped away at them jumping about like crazy :-)  I can't tell you how wonderful it was to see rain, and SMELL it! I never thought I'd appreciate it so much, but when you haven't had any in over 3 months, it is a blessing when it finally falls.

Boo wanted in on the action, but then realized it wasn't as much fun as it looked!

Kristen and Emily were loving it!

It lasted for about 10-15 minutes with a few rumbles of thunder along with it, but that's all we've had. We still need lots lots more.

Oh I just LOVE when it rains! It rarely does in Vegas, so when it does, I try to enjoy every second of it. Looks like they had a blast getting all wet! How fun :)

ah. Lovely photos.
I love the rain. Actually, it's been far too dry here this year too. Not to the same extent as you, I know, but far too dry for us. The ground is solid. But, rain is meant to be here overnight. Hope so!

Having lived in Texas, I surely know the feeling of needing and loving it when it rains. That smell, so clean. Yum. Now living here in Oregon, that's exactly how I feel smack dab in the middle of winter when I crave the sun :)

I'm SOOOOO glad to read that it rained down there. It sure has been TOO long! I was tired of the constant sunny, 100 degree days and I was only there a week! Can't imagine it for 3 months solid. Hope you get some more soon so that Lake Travis can fill back up again ;-)

Love you my friend! xo
