I had to take Boo to the vet this morning for his annual exam and shots. His appointment was at 9am and we were out of there by 9.20, home by 9.30am :-)Not much going on today, I am staying home waiting for the carpet guy to come and replace the carpet from last week (actually he just needs to put it back in place and seal the seam, not replace anything). He was supposed to come Friday but didn't turn up when he said, so I went out to run errands and of course he called while I was out - left a note on the door! He was supposed to come yesterday but when I called the Pulte guy he called them and turns out no one was in the area to call in here?!!! Good job I called or I would have stayed home again all day for nothing. That freed me up to go for groceries, so I stocked up on more salads and veggies for this week.
The scale isn't moving much when I get on it, but I can tell my pants aren't as tight so something is working. Last night I made tacos for dinner. Kristen surprisingly likes these so I did soft and hard tacos for her and Jason, and opened a can of refried beans too. I opted to not have the tacos but made myself a taco salad instead (although as an afterthought I had one crispy taco and crumbled it on top of the meat.) A picture? Why of course . . . . . . .

Looks yummy doesn't it (you should be able to enlarge if you click the picture). There's no recipe for this other than frying the ground turkey (less fat, more healthy) in a skillet and adding the taco seasoning. For my salad I put shredded lettuce on the plate added a chopped fresh tomato, put the beef on top of that, sprinkled with cheese and added a 'dollop' of sour cream. I couldn't even finish all of this, I was so full!
Hopefully I will eat well today too as I would like to see at least a pound come off by the end of the week - that's not too much to ask is it?
I have to do some tax papers for Jason, so I need to hop off here and get on with it.

Hi Denise! Your taco salad looks yummy. We just had that a few nights ago with Jeff's homemade salsa. Yes, I'm ready for American Idol altho the auditions are not my favorite part. Too many people just trying to be weird and get on TV. (((Hugz)))
Hi Denise!
I fixed tacos the other day. Dan had soft tacos and I did the same as you and had taco salad. Very yummy! Yours looks delicious by the way.
I hope the carpet guy showed up today.
Take care.
~hugs~
I will put this meal on my grocery list... looks good.
I don't like this part of AI either. So I listen as I do something else.
Hugs
yum, that looks so nice. I was watching 'cook yourself thin' the other day, and they showed how to make a lower calorie/fatty spag bol. I am soooooo going to try it. :o) you can get the recipe by visitng http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/healthy/cook-yourself-thin/sophies-spaghetti-bolognese_p_1.html
that link. :O) I like that they used tagliatelli instead of spaghetti.
My scales don't seem to be moving very much either. But, on the plus side, they aren't going up either! I think I look a bit thinner, but it's hard to tell. I have a curvy shape anyway. And, I hoped to see a sudden change, but of course, these things take time. I'm sure I've shifted the extra pounds piled on at Christmas though.
Posted the knitting mag this morning, it comes with a Crochet hook, I hope you can find a use for it. I moved it around so it was in between the pages, so hopefully it won't fall out en route! Still looking for SKFeb, it has to be out there somewhere! As soon as it's in my paw, it will be in the post. I've got the envelope all ready!
Have a lovely day. Oh, and thank you for the compliment. I nearly didn't show that pic becuase of the splodges on the mirror, my hair roughly tied back, and if you don't enlarge it, my hips look MASSIVE! ha ha ha!
