I was so happy yesterday to get to see my blogging friend Sue, after 4 years, it was a long awaited reunion :-) And honestly I don't think of Sue as a 'blog' friend any more, not after the first time we got together when she and Doug came to visit us in MD on her way to NC to see her family. I think of her more as one of my best friends. Even like a sister to me. I know we've only met once but we've been friends on line for years, and just that one meeting let me know that I'd truly found a friend for life in Sue. It's hard to explain but I know some of you know what I mean. Sometimes people come in to your life and it's like you have known them forever. You can totally be yourself around them, and they love you for who you are, and not who you're sometimes trying to be! It was such a short visit, just 3 1/2 hours together. I'm still sad that it's over so quickly (last time they came, we got to spend 5 special days together) but as I told Sue, we made some special memories again, even in that short a time. I made dinner for us all (fajitas, and key lime pie) and we took some photos together, only guess what, I didn't get any of us on my camera so I'll have to wait for Sue to email me some pics. I did take one of them both, then I must have put my camera down and let Sue take the rest on hers! Oh well, I'll share more pics when I can, and I'm sure Sue will too.
To Sue and Doug - thank you for taking the time to 'pop in' while you were in the neighborhood. It was SO good to see you both, I just hope we don't have to wait another 4 years for the next visit ;-)

That is so cool that you get together! My online friend and I have been chatting since 1999 and dhave never met. Her son and my son had the same cancer which is how we met.
it sounds like you had a pretty fabulous day :O) I've met one of my diary friends, Jackie. She came to our wedding. Hopefully this summer Nikki and I can get to meet up, we're not too far away from each other and her other half often comes to this neck of the woods for work, so she'll go along with him. It should all work out.
I always think that all of our little posse of online friends should be on Oprah. We could meet up properly, talk about Elliot mouse, and how long we have known each other. I have known some of my online mates for as long as I've been online, that's about 7 years! I know I'm not alone with having such long online friendships, I mean, you and Sue are another example!

Hi, I think Sadies idea of being on Oprah is a good on but we would all be crying with tears of happiness. I am so glad that you had a good visit with Sue. Meeting Susan was like meeting an old friend even though it was the first time we had ever met. You all are a part of my daily life. Hugs

Wouldn't it be cool if we could all meet around a table with our favorite drink (I was thinking coffee but I'll bet you're a tea drinker) and chat up a storm? I'll bet we would be laughing withing two minutes. Hmmmm, I wonder how it will be when we're in heaven.

Hey D! I feel so honored and so blessed by your post today. It is we who feel so blessed with the friendship of your family and particularly our special bond! I only wish we didn't live soooo far away or I'd be in your face all the time - hee hee.
Coming to visit you guys and having Kiki remember us so fondly really made my first trip to Texas all the more special! Thank you again so much for the visit and the delicious dinner - best fajitas I've EVER had! Honest!!

The "boys" had a fantastic time and had such a great time playing with Kristen... especially going for a spin with her. She's such a good little driver ;-)

Hi Denise! That's great that you've made such a wonderful friend! I feel very close to so many of my online friends even tho I've only met a few.
I was also annoyed at how they practically crowned David A last night. I did think he had a better night but David C has had the better season. Personally, I'm tired of all the ballads David A does. I'm still thinking David C might win. The judges have tried to steer the audience before and it hasn't worked.

I've made some wonderful friends on-line that I firmly believe will be friends for life. When we visit the US I'm going to meet my long time net friend Kimberly. We're both so excited to finally be able to do that, so I totally get your excitement and where you're coming from.
