More Christmas Decor!

I hope I don’t bore you with all my Christmas posts but it is December after all . . .  I haven’t shared Kristen’s room yet, so here we go. . . .

DSCF1711 This is how it looked a few months ago when I repainted her room and we changed from a jungle theme to a wolf theme. She didn’t want a bed in her room but wanted a ‘den’ made so she could sleep with her wolves at night!  It looked cute enough but let me tell you it was no fun trying to make her bed and put clean sheets on it! Thankfully a few weeks ago she asked to have her bed back in the room and so it now looks like this . . . .

DSCF3903

Perhaps not as cute, but much easier to keep tidy and much much easier to make the bed ;-)

DSCF3912

This cute guy is the latest addition to her ‘wolf’ collection! She bought him with some of her birthday money from my family.

DSCF3913

He gets pride of place on her bed right now, and later will probably join the ‘guys’ in her reading nook . . .

DSCF3910 For Christmas decor we decided on a ‘winter wonderland’ look. I hung snowflakes from the ceiling. . .

DSCF3908

And hung an icicle garland at the window with icicle lights.

And that was all we did really, a few little snowflakes hang on a tree in the corner too.  She loves it, and I think the lights and snowflakes may well stay up even after Christmas!

What about you? Do you decorate your kiddies bedrooms? I’ve always wished I had Christmas bedding so we can totally change the rooms at this time of year, but so far I haven’t gotten around to buying any. I do have snowman sheets on Kristen’s bed, but that’s about all!

Oh my gosh Kristen's room is SOOOO CUTE! I love it. It's one of the cutest, most creative rooms I've ever seen!
Once we were in a nice model home and they had a real cute "camping" room like this, but yours is cuter and more creative :)
Thanks for sharing the pictures...I really enjoyed checking them out!

This is the neatest idea for a child's bedroom Denise. She has such pretty wolves and the hanging snowflakes are the right touch.

Happy week! ~Melissa :)

I think it is so sweet that she has the wolf theme in her room. She's definitely not your run of the mill Barbie girl! I admire that. And I love what you have done to make her room a winter wonderland. It's so cute! Great job, Den! :-)

Jane

This is so adorable ... her own little winter wonderland. You did a fabulous job ... your daughter must love it !! The hanging snowflakes are so fun ... I did that last year in Jax's playroom, but didn't this year ... now I'm wishing I did! I also love the lights over her valance. Santa will definitely be stopping at your house! *Becca* (And, thanks for your sweet note! As for how I'll do the popcorn ... yes, I'll simply string it on floral wire and let it just sprout out, like an explosion. lol)

It is so adorable - she must love it! I always did small artificial trees in their room with their own ornaments, but this year, I've been told they're just too big for it. I can't take it!!!

That is really cute. I love how in love with dogs, wolves, foxes and well... canine type creatures - hee hee. I love her twinkle lights over her bed and phew for you that she wanted that bed back ;-)

I like the lights too and I wouldn't take them down right after Christmas. I think the bedding would be cute and she would enjoy it. Maybe you can find it after Christmas and have it for next year.

Oooh, it's pretty at night with the icicle lights over the bed! You know I love the wolves! I'll have to find and share some pictures - we live about 45 minutes from a wolf preserve in the Florida panhandle and I've visited them and taken some great pictures! When I lived in Panama City, Katelyn and I met up with the owners downtown for a special thing at an art gallery and the wolves were there. Katelyn loved and loved on them long after everyone else had gone. I agree with one of the comments above - Kristen MUST go visit a wolf preserve. She would LOVE it!

P.S.
I hope your Mam has had a better day today. Bless her heart - the hospital is no place to be this time of year especially.
Hope she gets home soon!

Denise, you are the best mom! I know Kristen loves her space--and you did a great job of getting it ready for Christmas while still sticking with her outdoorsy theme!

I love Krisen's room. The winter wonderland is beautiful...especially all lit up for night. I used to decorate my girl's rooms for Christmas when they were younger. Now, all we do is put up a tree. Enjoy every minute of it. They grow up too soon. Carla

Oh that's sweet Den! I love K's unique decorating style. How many little girls want a woodsy/wolf theme in their rooms -- very cool girl you've got there ;)!

sweet. Love the lights. I have fairy lights up all year round in various rooms, they look so nice.

Well, with you being so creative, you could easily make your own festive duvet covers. A few metres of fabric and a bit of sewing later and *ta da* you'd have it done. I'm sure snowflake covered fabric is available over there. You could even drape a net canopy over her bed and have snowflakes to that too.

I'm sorry your mam is in hospital again. I hope she's stronger and on the mend again soon.

Your home is certainly looking nice and festive now :o) love the red phone box ornament.

Very cute and inspiring Denise. I do not decorate my boys rooms at all, not even a snowflake. I did do mine just a tad.

I did buy some cute new winter clothes Denise. I bought skinny jeans, khaki cargo pants, black dress pants and a red sweater. Also an adorable black/red houndstooth scarf. They have the best prices and since I'm still trying to lose I'm not looking to spend a fortune on clothes. I wish you had one. You would like to shop there for Kristen too. Check online. Maybe they are available to shop that way.

Denise I checked online for the stores locator and it says you have three Cato Fashions located in Austin. I'm not sure how close they are to you but you would like them. Let me know if you go.
