Hi everyone, oh my gosh, Christmas is only 5 days away, I still can’t believe it really, but so excited and happy that all my shopping is done.
This week Jason is off work and we are just enjoying hanging out at home all week. Kristen is playing with Jason a lot on the computer – doing quests on World of Warcraft together! So I have a lot of free time (in between keeping the house clean and doing laundry) . . . I can’t seem to stop baking :-)
Made Biscotti again at the weekend, a different recipe this time, it’s one I’ve used before and comes out pretty good. They did turn out rather small though, so I’ve packaged them up two to a bag as an individual serving to have with coffee. Some of them are going in to gift boxes for the neighbors along with pretzel sticks and other chex mix goodies and chocolate spoons.
Also made some little cookies with Hershey’s kisses, I always forget what they are called. These ones were dipped in green sugar and a peppermint kiss added to the top (the recipe was on the bag of Kisses).
I didn’t have enough green sugar though so I improvised and did some with sprinkles too… and some were left plain.
Debbie over at DebbieDoos told me about Picnik.com last week. I was asking how she added snow effect to her pictures. Have you heard of it. I had to try it out and Debbie’s right, you have to be careful, it can become rather addictive! Here’s a little picture of Boo I added some ‘free’ effects to. . . doesn’t he look cute?
I’m sure I’ll have time to post more this week, so I’ll wish you all a great start to the week and hope you are all caught up with your Christmas shopping and planning. . . except you Becca (don’t panic I’m sure you’ll get it all done in time ;-)

yum, you are cooking for America! I would say zip over here and come and do some baking for me, but travelling is still hit or miss with all the snow.
I love Picnik, I use it all the time to edit my photos. when I do my Christmas cards each year, I upload, edit, then download and save to disc, then print them out. Gives superb results.
I thought I told you about picnik in the summer? you asked about the font I used on photos, and I'm sure I emailed back saying I use it on picnik. My emails are always going missing, I never know if they reach people. I should always leave a note telling people I've sent them so they can look out for them or I can resend from yahoo.
you can edit pics in picnik via blogger. If you go to the picassa album (where uploaded pics are stored), there is the option to edit there.
Time I was off. Trying to work through my 'to do' list but keep getting sidetracked.
have a lovely Christmas week xx
hope your Christmas is wonderful too! you cookies are so cute! sounds like you are in good shape. me too a few things but that's always the way! take care, susan
Yummy- your cookies look great and so festive. I always played computer games with Justin as he was growing up. We still do online sometimes. Jeff plays XBOX 360 games with him. Wynne plays WoW, too. Boo looks cute and he probably is much happier than you trying to make him wear a real Santa hat! :D (((Holiday Hugz)))
Your baked goods look so yummy Denise :) MMMMM!!!
My daughter and I have used Picnik for a few years now and we LOVE it :) It's so fun to experiment with.
A while back I used the exact same frame with a picture of our doggie too! Too funny :)
Happy Holidays to you and your family!
To my fellow Texas Blogging Gal, I hope your Christmas is filled with joy, peace, and love.
Merry Christmas!
