It's going so fast. . .

. . . of course I'm talking about 'Time'! I keep wanting to sit down here and write more than just a quick post, but I always seem to be having to do something else? Jason left for Denver on Monday and he'll be back tomorrow night. Tomorrow night I am also hosting book club here otherwise I would have to miss it because Jason doesn't get home until after 10pm.

Kristen's school is having early release day today. They get out at 12pm so I will be heading out to pick her up in less than an hour! I've spent the morning tidying up the downstairs and getting out my Fall decor. The weather has cooled a little over the past few days (since Ike!) and it feels wonderful. This morning was only 58 degrees when we left for school and the high will be only 81. That may sound very warm to some of you but believe me, after high 90's most days it feels unseasonably cool to me.

So, for now this is another quick post. I may find time to post later today (and I know you're still waiting for photos of my bathroom!) if the hours don't run away from me again!

Hello Denise, yes time does fly much too fast. I so agree about the weather, the humidity is lower too & the sky is so blue. I keep some windows open & someone has burned branches etc & it smells so good. Have fun with your book club, hugs

Hey D! I wondered what you've been up to. It's your turn in Scrabble ;-) Hope you & Kiki had a great afternoon together. Did you do anything special?

Have a great rest of your week if I don't "see" you!

Love ya xo

totally with you, time just melts away sometimes. That said, I am trying so hard these days to do something for myself too. I've just been doing a little sewing. (I ought to point out that late last night a did a boil wash and some ironing, as I wanted to wash humbugs Blankee. She calls it 'night nights' and gets so upset if she sees me shove it in the machine. She sits and watches it going round, saying 'night nights' sadly and making me feel like an Evil mum. So last night I waited until she was asleep and got it in the machine! ha!) But because I did that little bit of extra laundry last night, I had only the lightest smattering of ironing to do today (dark stuff, as whites went in boil wash, including Bill's shirt).

I will shut up now,and stop regaling you thrilling tales about my laundry!

I'm glad the weather feels cooler for you. We have a bit of sun today, and whilst it's not hot, it's made quite a nice change from the dark, grey and pretty dismal sky of recent days.

have a great Thursday xx

Hi sweetie,
I hope your book club and scones go really well. It does sound a bit cooler for you which must be nice.

Have a great day, and I hope Jason's week has been fruitful for him.

BTW I added my scone recipe to my blog if you'd like to drop by and collect it.

Big hugs.

oh yeah, the point of rattling on about my laundry was to say that it meant I had a little bit of time for myself, so have been doing some sewing and looking through my latest Gooseberry Patch book. I knew I had a reason for waffling on about washing! ha ha ha xx

Hi Denise,

I know what you mean about looking forward to falling leaves and cool weather. Here in Chico the days are still in the 90's and I really long for the autumn to come. I love the changes in seasons. It is cooler in the mornings, though, so it's nice to snuggle in with a blanket upon awakening. That's a pleasant change.

Looking forward to the bathroom photos!
