I've hardly sat at my computer since I posted last Friday! The days are just going too fast I can hardly keep up. On Saturday morning I got up at 5.30am - yes, you read that right, 5.30am, and I was out of the house at 6am to head off to a craft fair with my neighbor Cheryl. Of all the days we would be sitting outside (the fair was in an old market town) it was probably the coldest day we've had so far this year.
After the long hot summer we had I don't want to complain about the cold, but to say we sat there shivering all day, would be a little of an understatement! The guy across from us was selling 'snowcones'! But when he realized the sun wasn't coming out and the temps weren't going up as the weathermen had predicted, he quickly changed his signs to coffee and hot cocoa. Let's just say, he got a lot of business after that. Which is more than can be said for the rest of us. The high never got above 55 degrees and the 'fair' was pretty quiet compared to other months (it's held the second Saturday of every month), at least it didn't rain. And to be honest, Cheryl and I still enjoyed the day together. I think she's going to do it again next month and I'm sure I'll go with her :-)
Last week Kristen sold her Power Wheels 'Monster Truck' because she wanted an electric scooter. I took her out on Friday after school and we found one in Target....

Yesterday was Columbus Day and the kids were off school. Jason stayed home and worked in his office here too. When we're all home I tend to put housework aside, but today I'm having to catch up on it all as I haven't done any since last Friday!
I'm so behind on visiting blogs too, but I hope to catch up this week. It's forecast to be wet and cold for a few days so I'll be staying home and trying to get organized and on top of things!

Wow, she's really zipping around! She has good balance! We have rain today, too! Thanks for the birthday wishes and, again, for the card! (((Hugz)))
Well, I'm ready for that cold air to return! My morning walk felt like I was in the swamps. LOL
Have a great week!
Falling behind is exactly whats going on here Denise.
I'm up to my ears in leaves and dust. Let along the gardens that need tending too.
Oh well
Came by to say hi.
love Claudie

I am so behind on catching up too. Sorry I haven't been by lately. I am hoping things will start slowing down. You little one looks like she is having a great time. Hope you are doing well!!
I know what you mean about the days flying by. I thought I'd post this morning, but by the time I finally got a chance to sit down at the computer it was past 1 O'Clock, the morning has just melted away.
Wow, that scooter thing looks like a lot of fun. I'd have loved one of those back in the day. I used to live in my roller boots :o)
Love the video. I downloaded pics from my camera earlier on and was shocked to see it saying 'loading 1 of 40' 40?! Then I remembered, Humbug had been playing with it yesterday. I laughed my boots off, three of the photos were actually little movies, with one starting with a close up of her face, then panning round the room. You can hear her muttering or making little noises or something. I shall keep it forever! Hilarious!
Thanks for your email :o)

Woohoo....I wanna turn! That sure looks like fun and you have a great street for it.
Glad you enjoyed your day up bright and early to help your friend sell her beads at the craft fair. It sounds like fall is really with you now. Bet it's pretty at the Lake there in Austin with all the trees all coloured up for autumn.
So what's happening with your veggie garden? What do you plan to plant next or will you have it more as a yearly summertime thing?
Hope your week is going well sweetie. lub ya xx
Hi Denise! It's rainy and hot there? We usually don't get heat when it rains. Guess that's the gulf influence for you? Our rain is ending today and then we are warming up. Is your birthday the 16th? I know it's soon and Ryan was almost born on it. ;) (((Hugz)))
That little scooter really motors, man! I hope she doesn't get hurt whizzing around the neighborhood on that thing. The boys will be very sad to hear the monster truck is history - lol
We had a brutally cool weekend here too - I was shivering up a storm at Dad's place on the Lake and the sun was even shining. It was about the same temp as you. I can't imagine sitting outside all day in the dreary cold though - yuck! Hope you didn't catch a cold or anything.
Miss you! Hugs xo
