I transformed this. . . . . .

in to this. . . . . .

The weekend sure did fly by. I went out yard-saling on Saturday morning but was very disappointed. I only spent $5, bought a Jenga game for Kristen, a two-tiered wall basket that I've already spray painted black, but forgot to take a before picture of, a Christmasy mug for me and a necklace! When I got home Jason was already in the garage (9.30am) clearing up. We're trying to do a little each week, especially when it's not too hot. This weekend was the perfect weather for it. While Jason was cleaning I got the mower out and did the front lawn, then edged it then got the blower out and cleared the paths of grass. By the time I was finished my arm was aching! The muscle in it is still sore today.
Kristen slept over at Emily's house on Saturday night so Jason and I watched a couple of movies together, Wolverine and He's Just Not That In To You (which wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but I enjoyed Wolverine).
My inlaws came over yesterday and we had a nice visit together. I made chili and corn bread and had bread and oil, queso and chips and hummus and veggies for snacks.
So, today, need to get on with laundry and housework and start making lists of things to do for the upcoming holiday season :-) I feel like I'm behind on things already - it's October already!!!

Beautiful items you have made!
I don't know how to knit, so I really appreciate those that do.
It was great to see what you've made.
Blessings,

Denise how beautiful is this! You are so talented! LOVE the pretty sweater.
We just watched Wolverine last night and enjoyed it too!
Happy Fall! ~Melissa :)
Both of your sweaters are gorgeous. I love them. So glad you had a great weekend. Hugs, Marty
Hi Denise,
Love your sweathers. I don't know how to knit but I can crochet. I'm still working on an afghan that I started for my daughter-in-law about a year ago....LOL. Oh well, maybe I'll get it done before this winter is over.
Blessings,
Gail
You are sooo talented!! Gorgeous items!!!
I learned to knit and crochet during 'leasure arts' in 7th grade, oh about 28 years ago *grin* I'd love to get back into it now that I have a wee bit of extra time. Your sweaters are to.die.for. Seriously gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by :o)
I love your sweaters Denise! So very pretty! Sounds like you had a great weekend! ((BIG HUGS))
WOW I LOVE THEM... even if the beige one doesn't have buttons. Nice and cozy for the fall.
I'm doing shores too... I can't stay on the putter all day... well I could lol
Happy MET monday
Love Claudie

What a remarkable transformation!! Beautiful sweaters, I have no idea how to do that! You have a gift.

Wow girl! You are very very talented!! Those look beautiful! Great job!
Hi Denis! You are really a pro knitter! Both are beautiful but I can see how intricate that second one is and the yarn is smaller (or seems to me) so I can see why it would take a long time! Enjoy the week ahead! (((Hugz)))
Ok, now I'm jealous! This takes extreme skill and talent! I tried to learn how to knit when I moved to NY, I thought having my own scarves (the way I wanted them) would be a great idea ... so I tried, and tried, and tried, and ... you get the idea. But I can't do it. I get one row too tight, ten rows too loose ... LOL! Suffice it to say, all of my scarves have since been purchased! So jealous! Great job! Thanks for sharing!
Love it and it looks great on you. Kniting is beautiful but I stick to crocheting because I am lazy and it just more suits my time constraints--
Those are gorgeous! Any chance you'd share where you got the pattern for the first one?
