A few months ago I started saving what I like to call ' inspiration pictures' from the web as and when I came across them. I keep them in a folder on my computer right now but it is my intention to make a binder for 'Home Inspiration' projects inside and outside the home. I only have these 3 photos of outdoor spaces right now but I thought I'd show them to you and link up to Outdoor Wednesday again because. . . . .well to be honest because I have absolutely nothing else to post about right now!

If I had to chose, I really don't know which one of these 3 pictures I like best. I love them all - I guess that's why you make up your own folder, each picture has a little of something you like, and you start to form a picture in your own mind of exactly what you would want in your outdoor space.

I'd be more than happy if someone would come along and tell me they could replicate the exact same thing in the picture in my own back yard, I wouldn't change a thing ;-) Ahhhhhhh, if only!

In all honesty, this photo above is more realistic to me than the other two - more achievable in my own back yard (with the budget I would have) if I ever got off my butt and tried to do something like this. But it's waaaaaay too hot now here in Texas to try and do anything, it's no fun being outside at all, not to me anyway. Sad as it sounds I'm ready for Summer to be over.
I'm off to check out the other wonderful participants of
Susan's Outdoor Wednesday. Don't forget to check them out too.

I love your honesty! I often stare at my laptop, wondering what to post. I also agree with you about the weather. It has been in the 90's here in the Midwest and I have avoided going out at all costs!
I like the last picture the best, too. Probably because it is attached to the house...I'm lazy! ;-D
I hope you had a good 4th. Thanks for popping over!
xoxo

I love these all - beautiful choices and delightful outdoor spaces. And I feel your pain. we wait and wait for summer and then the HEAT! We had a heavenly week followed by a heatwave. I don't want summer to be over, but I DO want the heatwave to end! Stay cool!
These outdoor spaces are wonderful. I am with you on summer being over. I am ready for the cool temps of fall.

I like the second and the third. Like you, the third would be much easier for me to achieve. I have always wanted an outdoor fireplace though...not that I could use it now. It is hotter than a frying pan around here! Carla
These are all so pretty! I love outdoor spaces that have the feel of an outdoor room!
I agree with you about the heat...we are in Dallas and it is soooooo hot...I can barely stand it! I am ready for fall...how sad...but I do not do well in this heat...UGH!
Thanks for stopping by earlier!
Have a wonderful evening!

how fun! while they are all beautiful something i love about the first one but agree the 3rd is probably the most realistic! hope all is well! susan
Hey sis never mind the summer being over bit we don't get much sun over here and school hols are nearly here so we need it for several weeks more please. Love the pics wouldn't mind any of them in my weed overgrown garden.
Love ya xxxx
Beautiful inspiration Denise! I love them all!
It is sooo hot today in NC. Yikes!
~Melissa :)
I love that second picture! WOW! I never live somewhere long enough to have something like that. Maybe this next house:)
I always look at these and think Hoe Beautiful, but then wonder how long they would stay that way.. with weather and stuff like that.. do they always look that good..
But wow, these ARE beautiful!
They are all beautiful in their own way, and it is overly obvious to me that they have a lot of similarities when they are stripped down to their bare essentials. To boil it down, they have some sort of "ceiling" supported by columns, some sort of "fire", and warm/ample seating. I think if you start with those elements, you could take your own design sense in many directions to fit your home and your style.
WOW!! I love them all, but the second photo really speaks to me, very pretty!
our neighbors have the most fantastic outdoor space-complete with kitchen and pool and lighting, etc. We have big plans for our back yard but its all so expensive. We'll be doing it in stages I'm sure.
I love them all too!
Hi Denise,
I think I had those same exact photos on my wish list for years. After I finally convinced my DH that we needed one we went to price materials and needless to say we ended up with the canvas topped metal gazebo. I can't believe how expensive those columns were in the 2nd photo which was my first choice.
Have a great weekend!
The pergolas are all pretty but I'll take the second one with the off white columns, Denise....Christine
Your blog is so cute! I love it!
I do exactly the same thing, save inspirational photos.
Means that I can take ideas from here and there, play around with them, and make them work for me. I love that. If I don't save piccies then I'll easily forget what I've seen.
If I don't do that, I keep a stash of links so I can always find a site I've found inspiratonal.
Have a super weekend xxxx
