First of all I'd like to say thank you to those who emailed me about the pumpkin hats. I'm working on them now and should have the first ones shipped out by the middle of this week :-)
It was a week full of appointments this week (or I should say last week because I'm typing this late again on Monday morning). On Tuesday I had my hair appointment, which you saw in the previous post (and thank you for all your lovely comments).
Thursday was the busiest day, I had to take Boo to the vet for his teeth cleaning at 7.30am! I took him in last week for a check up and signed him up on the 'Wellness Program', it includes two exams a year, all his shots and a teeth cleaning, which he seemed to be in need of as he's nearly 5 years old. At 1.45pm I had an ENT appointment myself and later that night it was Book Club meeting for me :-)
Boo's teeth cleaning never happened! The vet called me about 10am and said they were checking his blood before surgery and his liver values were elevated?!! I'm trying not to be alarmed about anything just yet, she went on to explain the main cause could probably be the break up of tartar from his teeth causing an infection. So we went to pick him up and he's on antiobiotics and liver vitamins for a week. He goes back in this Saturday to recheck things and if all is well he will have his teeth cleaned that day. He will probably be on the liver vitamins a lot longer than a week, I have a big box of them.
I am back on antibiotics and steroids too for my nose.... that cold Jason gave me didn't clear up on it's own (as I knew it wouldn't) so I ended up with another infection. I feel fine now, the meds work pretty quick and the headaches and facial pain I had last week has gone away. Book club was fun on Thursday night. I really enjoyed the book 'The girl with the Dragon Tattoo'. I've been told the movie was really good too (although a little dark) and it is subtitles, but I really want to see it when it comes out on dvd.
I didn't get to do a PW recipe last week but I'll be making something for tomorrow. I'm also trying to plan menus again and thinking of ways to be more 'frugal' with our spending. I'll post more on that subject later in the week.
I'm off to get more coffee, it's 9.24am, Kiki is still sleeping (if you can believe that!) I let her stay up til 10pm last night, Jason went off to work early today, so it's very quiet around here. Have a great start to your week. I'll be hopping by later today to say hi.

Hope your pup is back to 100% good health soon. Have a nice week!
Denise you have had a very busy week. I hope you and Boo are both on the mend very soon.
Have a great day!

Glad you're feeling better and I hope your little buddy is feeling better too. Thanks for the kind comments on today's post. As far as your little one riding, mine rode for 3 years without many issues at all. I firmly believe it was the horse. A reputable stable will keep a new rider on a lunge lead for months and only give her an experienced horse. So it is very contained in the beginning. I hope our incident doesn't discourage you.
Sounds like you had a very busy week last week. What's on the agenda for this week? Hope Boo's liver heals quickly Sweetie
Hugs xo
Hope you have a wonderful week! Carla
Wow, what a lot of changes you have made around here! Congratulations on opening an Etsy shop ~ your pumpkin hat is adorable!
Hi Denise! Thanks for the nighttime camera tips! I'll have to see if my camera has a nighttime setting. Your table setting photos are always nice!
