Just me. . .

saying hi . . . . wondering what ya'll are up to?

Yesterday marked the '1 month before school starts' date! We go back to school here on August 22nd. I really don't want to wish the next 4 weeks away, I just want to wish the heat away. Is anyone NOT having SUPER HOT days? It's hard to imagine that anywhere in the US is having anything but 100 degree days, although I know many of you do actually have it cooler than that. And I saw on the news that Chicago had terrible floods this past week. It's crazy that some of us are in such a drought and others are being flooded out of their homes!

We are gearing up for a yard sale this weekend! We've only ever done one once before, back when we lived in MD and we were getting ready to move to TX. Usually we just load stuff up we don't need and take it to Goodwill, but last weekend we went through our spare/storage room and cleared a lot of stuff out.  There was so much stuff  we decided it was worth the effort to do a yard sale. We told our neighbors too, but some of them are busy. Cheryl isn't though, so she'll be putting some stuff out too :-)  Hopefully it will be a successful day for us all.

To pass the time (when I'm not sorting stuff out  for the yard sale) I've been browsing shops on line and adding goodies to my Amazon Wish List - I'm already dreaming of Christmas!. Did you know you can add a button to your tool bar from Amazon 'Add to Wish List' and no matter what online store you look in, you can simply click that button when you see something you like, and it will automatically go to your Amazon Wish List. I love it. Here's a few things I added this week . . .

I saw this bag in Dillards a few weeks ago when I went out shopping with Cheryl, I just LOVE it. So when I got back home I added it to my wish list ;-)

I can't save the picture any bigger than that, so for a closer look click on the purse, or go to Dillards HERE
Now, if I'm to have a new purse (wishfully thinking for Birthday or Christmas)  I think this purse organizer would also be great. . . .
I found this one on Etsy at Divide and Conquer

I want this book!  :-)

I like collecting Willow Tree figurines and would love the nativity this Christmas.
Now what's the point of a purse organizer if you're not gonna 'wish' for more purses - just sayin!!!

Believe it or not, I actually have this Coach purse (below) in my closet, but I hardly use it! Jason bought this  for me years ago when we still lived in England. It's really nice, but just a tad 'plain', and a little small, can't get much in it at all - certainly not a big purse organizer!!

A Chi would be nice!

Have you ever tried on a pair of Uggs! Oh My, these can go to the top of my list!!!

What's on your WISH LIST?

Hey Denise!

Isn't it AWFUL how hot it's been this summer?? I don't want to wish the summer away, either, but I am so sick of the hot weather. I get grumpy in the heat! :)

You're so smart to make an Amazon wish list. At my birthday and Christmastime Jack always wants to know what I'd like--and I never have an answer! This is a good idea.

Take care and good luck with your yard sale!

Uggs and Coach. That's what it will say on my tombstone. Once you go Uggs, you never go back. I too am having a garage sale. I have had 4 or 5 since I declared I would never have another one. My neighbor asked and since I have a billion things I need to get rid of...I thought, sure. Everything will be $1.00. Yup! I just want it gone and I am too lazy to price it all. Good luck with your sale!

Great wish list...not sure what I have on mine yet. I want a back yard sprucing up more than anything, something a little neater near our Firepit area, less rustic than my husband of course prefers.

The Uggs are SOOOO comfy!!!

I hope your yard sale goes well--and you don't melt in the heat!

Ooooh I love my uggs and them at home all winter long. I think the ugh part may stand for ugly but they sure are so comfy and warm and very much a winter must have for my family. I don't think you would be disappointed if Santa brought you some. :)

Hope your garage sale goes well, it's a pity they don't have them over here . As for what I'm wishing for hmmmm a nice glass of chilled wine and some peace to read my new gardening book I got from the library ... not too much to ask for really x

I like the idea of the Amazon WIsh List. I see things and then forget about them...maybe I wasn't destined to have them!!

I have been buying Coach purses and wallets for my girls for years and never for myself. That would be a start on my Wish List!!

Good luck with your yard sale and I hope your weather cools off soon!

XO,
Jane

Hi Denise,

Boy I wish I could send you down some of these clouds we've had here. All July we have been under clouds and feeling like we have missed summer all together. I hear and see on TV all the heat and all the dought there, but it is hard for us to believe when we are wearing light jackets. It has rained and we have had only a few days where we thought we were finally having summer... then back to 60 degree weather... and it has made many of us sick. So dear friend, I would certainly wish some of these clouds would make it to TX... TX is a nice place. It made me surprised to hear that school begins so early... we start September 7th here. I guess we are going to be late on everything this year. :-/ I will keep praying for you to have some clouds.

HUGS

Hi Denise! We have been unseasonable cool here in SoCal. We'll probably get our heatwaves (and fires) in September and October. The purse and organizer are cute! My purses are smaller. Good luck with your yard sale... maybe Kiki could run a lemonade stand since it's hot and people might like a cool drink! :)

Hi Denise! Love the picture of you!! Love your wish list too. I've never had a pair of Uggs on, but have heard so much about them, I think I need to try a pair on. Only problem is, I don't think I'd ever get to wear them here in Vegas.

Hope you have good luck with your yard sale. I think Darylynn has a wondeful idea on the lemonade stand for Kristen! Maybe you could bake a few cookies for her to sell too???

Have a wonderful Friday Denise. Hugs!

Hi Denise!! What a fun post. Ya know, I actually did make a wish list a while back on amazon, but it was for the preschool. I did not make it so people could buy things, just so I could keep track of what I want for the preschool. :) I love that too.
It is so hot, I wish the heat would go away also. The grass is brown, we need rain so bad. Stay cool and have a nice weekend. ((BIG HUGS))!!

Hi Sis, would love the ugs and some hugs. Got the nativity in the willow from money I got from mam couple of years ago. Unfortunately the donkey had wandered off when I bought it so the lady in the shop gave me a discount. I then wrote a nice poem to the willow people telling them the donkey had wandered away and that he was paramount to not only the nativity but Jesus rode into Jerusalem on him and they very kindly sent me a donkey free of charge. I like it so much though I leave it out all year round. Love ya xxx
