She wanted to go to bed at 7pm, but then while I was upstairs with her she started crying a little saying her tummy really hurt. I didn't want to leave her alone and then have her throw up all over the bed (even though I had a dish right by her!) so I brought her downstairs again and lay her back on the sofa. Not long after that she threw up (thankfully in the dish, sorry if that's too much inf0). Then she went to sleep. At 10.30pm Jason carried her up to our bed and he slept in the spare room so I could be with her all night incase she was sick again. Thankfully she slept all night and woke up at 7.50am this morning feeling much better. She didn't eat much all day yesterday so I'm sure she's a little weak this morning but she's had some toast and seems pretty much back to normal. Hopefully it was a quick 24 hour bug and it's already out of her system.
Jason arrived home safe and well late Friday night (actually Saturday morning at 1am!). He seems to have the sniffles but it's more due to the dry Denver air than cold symptoms. This happens to him every time he goes to Denver. His nose gets very dry but then seems to overcompensate for that and starts 'streaming' and it gives him a cough too. Actually I seem to have similar symptoms right now too - it's all down to allergies (for both of us). I thought I was coming down with a cold round about Thursday when my throat started getting dry and scratchy and my nose was really blocked dispite taking Claritin-D every day (like I have been doing for weeks). Cedar Fever is really bad here right now but what puzzles me is that it's never bothered me in the 3 years we've lived in Texas until now - if indeed that's what it is that's bothering me, I really don't know for sure?
Yesterday was a gorgeous sunny day with a high of 71 :-) As I mentioned earlier we were outside washing our cars because it was so nice and warm. I love the cul-de-sac we live in. There's kids for Kristen to play with, and with a total of just 4 houses it's a really cozy and friendly place. Today is supposed to be even nicer, getting up to 78 degrees, although that's hard to imagine at the minute because it's pretty overcast and grey out there!
Well I better jump off here today. Oh, it's Superbowl tonight isn't it? We aren't big football fans but I'm sure we'll be watching it. What are your plans for the big night? Anyone having a Superbowl party?

I'm glad Kiki's feeling some better today, D! Poor thing! I hate having an upset tummy :-(
Doug is having a mini Super Bowl party with his brother-in-law and nephew over. I made them a salsa dip, potato skins (that didn't really work out sad to say), veggies & Dip and jalapeno poppers Doug picked up. I'm watching Sense & Sensibility on TCM but can hear them in the basement family room cheering and such. :-)
Hope you have a great evening!!
hugs xo
Arrrh, poor Kiki. I'm pleased she was not sick after that and with all your tlc I am sure she recovered well.
I hope your allergy problems will soon pass. I bet it's nice to have hubby home after being away for the week.
It's been overcast here too but with lots of rain thrown in which is supposed to last the whole week.
Have a good week. Warm huggles. xx
those things that hit fast like that are nasty, but, on the plus side, they seem to clear off quickly too. I'm glad K is feeling better now :O)
reading about the 'dish' for sick made me laugh. When I was in labour I would throw up unexpectedly in a projectile kind of manner. I'd managed to tell Bill I'd been sick, but he hadn't seen it. when I was downstairs I asked him to bring me a bowl in case I needed to be sick again, he walked back in with....a small metal pie dish! I looked at it thinking 'what am I meant to do with this?', with the force I was being sick, there is no way the tiny dish would be any use! He finally realised what I meant, when back upstairs I felt queasy, ran to the loo, didn't make it and horror film style sick burst out of me onto the wall! I can laugh about it now, but it so wasn't funny at the time!
Ah, yes, little ones hat. Gorgeous isn't it? It's from Next and came with matching mittens. I keep the mittens attached by elastic on the pram, I've threaded them underneath her cosy toes, so I always, always have them to hand if I forget to take some with me. :O) My friends down at the local Tesco Express keep asking me what hat she'll be wearing next! They love the xmas pud and the cupcake ones. So, I need to get my thinking cap on, and see if I can't think of a fab hat for spring time and ask you to knit it for me :O) if that would be ok of course.
right. time to skidaddle. Tiny Tot needs her tea!
have a good day, hope you have lovely weather again. We've had blue skies here, so I've cleaned a few windows outside. Watched the weather report and rain is on they way! Typical!!!!
