I heard thunder early this morning, around 4am. Woke up at 8 to pouring rain still! There's a cold front moving in and a high of only 66 forecast for today. Right now it's very windy outside too.
My in-laws were on vacation last week and I'm not sure if they got home last night or arrive today, so due to the yucky weather this morning I decided we wouldn't go to church! When Jason woke up (at 10am!) and I told him, he breathed a sigh of relief. He was out all day yesterday playing a golf tournament. He didn't get home til 9.30pm. It was a lovely sunny day yesterday and despite the fact he had a nice time I'm sure it was pretty tiring being out all day too. So, today we're all having a lazy Sunday at home.

Three Blind Mice Melts! That's what we tried from our Shrek cookbook this weekend. Actually I made these for me and Jason fora late lunch on Saturday afternoon - Kristen had already eaten! You mix an egg with 1 1/2 cups of cheese (add a dash or worcester sauce) and put it on top of a toasted english muffin with some ham. Then you broil (grill) them to melt the cheese. Kristen did try one and we all thought they were pretty yummy and fast to make. I think this week I'm going to get the ingredients for Molten Lava Soup (yes, it's really just homemade tomato soup!). Kristen wants to make it so I'm going to try and let her do as much as she can to help. The nice thing about the homemade soup is that it has carrots in it, so Kiki will be getting some good veggies too, not to mention the
benefits of tomatoes :-)
Well I'm off to enjoy my Sunday, need to make some lunch for us 3! I'll leave you with 'Pretty Boy Boo' after his grooming last week.

Hi Denise,
Oh yum, you always make such interesting things. The cheese topping you make for your muffins sounds like one of the things I made when I first started learning cooking at school, although we called it "Welsh Rarbet"(sp?).
I did download Windows writer, but didn't end up using it. I just used PSP (Paint Shop Pro)and added the frames in there. I did like Writer and think it does a great job, but I just think I have more options using PSP. I took a whole lot of photos of Dan yesterday so I hope to add some today.
I hope you had a lovely lazy family Sunday. xx
Hi Denise! I always enjoy stopping in here to see what 'adventures in cooking' you have embarked on. I really do need to pick that cookbook up.
Boo is absolutely adorable! Emily wants him. :-)
Have a wonderful week. Hugs!
The 3 Blind Mice melts looks yummy. I think I will make something like that. We are in the high 90's today and trying to stay cool. Boo looks cute. My grand doggie is a Shih Tzu. Have a great week. Oh I fell off the SB diet so now I have to start again.
looks like a yummalicious snack Denise! :O) sort of thing I like.
Boo looks gorgeous, he has such a lovely face.
SK has just been posted to you. You get some free needles of some kind. I opened the plastic and pushed them in the centre of the mag, to make sure they didn't come out and stab anyone en route!
have a great start to the week xxxx
Hi Denise,
You have lot of fun cooking. I have fun seeing it and reading about it. Boo is very cute. I have been thinking for a while now about getting a dog. I always look at dogs like Boo and little terriers. Have a great Monday! HUGS
Hi Denise, oh Boo is so adorable. What a fun cookbook, I'll look for it for Emily. Might get Preston to eat more, lol.. Glad you had a nice restful day. We did too although JD worked. I at least had a relaxing sunday. love and ~hugs~
Hi Denise! Boo is so cute! I like how he's clipped so you can see his face and big, pretty eyes. You've had so much rain... guess you won't have to worry about drought and water supply. That cookbook is so cute. I'm sure you'll get Kristen to try things she might not have wanted to. Maybe Jason, too! LOL! (((Hugz)))
