An Exciting Day!

I'm very excited this morning because later today I'm leaving for a night in San Antonio with a few girls from church (my old church!) We are going to see Beth Moore Live! I bought my ticket right after I'd been to the Spring retreat with these girls back in April this year.

I've done a couple of Beth's bible studies at church, and it just so happens that next week, starting at my 'new' church is a Beth Moore study called 'Stepping Up' which is studying the Psalms of Ascent (Ps 120-134). The old church has no Beth Moore studies on this year so I'm really glad I'm going to the new church. My neighbor Cheryl will be doing the study too and we're going to go together on Thursday nights.

I'll be leaving around 1pm and car pooling with a couple of other girls. The conference starts at 6pm tonight and will continue tomorrow morning from 8am til 12pm. After we leave we may be taking a detour to the San Marcus Outlets :-) I've never been to these outlets before so I'm looking forward to stopping off and having a look around. I'm hoping I might find some great bargains?

I haven't talked to my sister for a couple of days, but I'm assuming because I haven't heard from her, that all is well with Mam. I will call her this morning before I leave. She was on the phone for well over an hour the other night calling people with updates that when I got to talk to her I said not to worry about calling me every day (or even me calling her, cos her phone had never stopped ringing) and that I would check in by Friday to see if Mam was coming out of hospital. And I told her that I would assume 'no news is good news'.

I may not be back til Saturday evening, so have a great weekend. I'll try to update on Sunday!

Hi Denise! Have fun at your getaway! I like Beth Moore. I just finally finished reading Believing God. It was a good read and just what I needed. Drive safe and I'll see you when you get back. Big hugs!

I LOVE Beth Moore. I've done her studies too and SHE IS GOOD. I'm really happy for you, Den.

By the way, I'm officially tagging you for the alphabet game, but please don't let it pressure you. It's just a game and you can do it any time you have some extra time on your hands. This may not be a good time.

God bless you!

Love, Mary

Hi Denise, Hope you have a wonderful time away with your friends. This should be a good getaway for you. I'm glad too that your Mam is better.

I feel the same as you about September timeframe (school, ect.) - how it's like a fresh start & new beginnings ect. For me, I somehow think it is because it's fall - I LOVE the fall, & it always makes me feel like a fresh start on things. Don't know why, but it does.

Have fun - can't wait to hear all about it. Hugs!

I know what you mean about September feeling like a fresh beginning, or at least that 'back to school' feeling. It does feel like a new year, a new start. Even now I get the urge to go out and buy new stationery!

Enjoy your conference. Hopefully when you get back, SK will have arrived so you can get some fresh inspiration.

Hoep your Mam is out of hospital now. You are a kind sister not to be phoning all the time when she has so many calls to make. Not everyone would be so thoughtful.

Well. time to be off. Have a lovely weekend xxx

Hey D! I wondered where you were - lol.

I hope you are having the time of your life down in San Antonio/San Marcos. Did you get to take a ride along the Riverwalk in the boats while in San Antonio? Now that you know where those outlets are, if I ever get back to Texas you can come meet me down there for a day of shopping ;-)

Glad to hear "no news" regarding your Mam! I bet that puts your heart all the more at ease.

I may get to blogging tomorrow but for today I'm just taking a quick peek to see what you're up to!

Love ya & can't wait to hear about your weekend!!

Hugs xo
