Hello. . . . from the UK!

Hello, it's me :-) Just posting a quickie to say we're having a great time with the family. We were at the beach today and managed to have a dry day, although it was raining and grey clouds when I woke up this morning.

It's hard to plan days out cos we never know what the weather is going to be like, but tomorrow we've said we'll go to Alnwick Castle. Sadie, I'm sure you are probably having better weather than us! It's not freezing cold here but it's not too warm either when that sun goes in behind the clouds, especially because of our North East wind. We to were lucky to have a dry day at the beach but most days we've had showers on and off with some sun peeking through the clouds now and then.
My diet is all to pot, and I'm sure I'll come home having to lose at least 10 pounds! We just had chinese takeout tonight and I'm going to sit with my sister and have a glass of wine. Usually the house is full with her grown children and grandkids, but they've stayed home tonight so it's a bit quieter.
That's it for now, my next post may be after the weekend once I'm back home in the US.

Oh Denise!! How exciting!! Have a wonderful trip!! It is in the 100's in Texas, that is where you live right? I am sure the weather is better there where you are now. Enjoy!! Have a nice time. ((BIG HUGS))!!

YAY!!! We hear from our wayward traveller!! I miss you so much!!

Reading your post reminded me of 2 things: 1) the trip to the UK I made with my Mom in my early 20's - we had similar weather; and 2) your weather there is much like ours here this summer. You can't plan much ahead at all because it can be sunny one moment and thunderstorms the next.

I'm glad you're having a blast and wish you safety the rest of your trip. Can't wait to "talk" all about it when you get home!!

Be safe & HAVE FUN!!!

Love & Miss Ya xoxo

Hi sweetie,
Great to see your post here, and just enjoy every little moment before you board that plane. The pounds can be easily fixed, so just enjoy it. I hope your mum is doing well. Your family must be so thrilled to have you all there. How's Kiki enjoying her trip?

Miss you heaps. With love, Julie. xx

Hi Denise! Thought I would check in & see if perhaps you had posted, & I'm so glad I did. I'm glad you are enjoying your family. Calories & pounds don't count when you are visiting family, right? At least that is what my family always told me. My best friend lives in Oxford - she is British - married an American. We've been best friends for 20 years. She complains 'constantly' about the British weather. :-) Have fun Denise! See you when you get back. Hugs!

Hey Denise, what fun to read you from UK. I guess the weather is pretty different of your Texas weather. I hope you're having a fantastic time, whatever the weather. I'm looking forward to read more about your trip & see photos maybe :)
Enjoy every minutes of your time there, hugs
