I first got to know of Beth Moore from bible studies at church. I love how she teaches the bible with her wit and wisdom. It's never boring, always rewarding and has really taught me a lot over the past couple of years. I think I already mentioned I will be starting her latest study 'Stepping Up' next week with my neighbor Cheryl, and I can't wait.
I called my sister before I left for SA on Friday. Mam came out of the hospital earlier that day (had been home about 3 hours, and that's where I talked to my sister because she didn't answer her own phone so I called my Mam). She's doing well but just a little weak. I'm sure it will take a few more days before she feels back to normal. I will be giving her a call for a chat tomorrow morning and can update again then. I thank you all again for your prayers and concerns.
Tomorrow is the BIG day - BACK TO SCHOOL! Kristen will be starting 2nd grade and is looking forward to going to school tomorrow (although how the pair of us will get up at 6.30am I just don't know)!!
Hope you've all had a great weekend. I do hope to make some visits tomorrow.

HI Denise, how exciting to attend the conference. I will visit her blog. She is very good. I know time away is nice, but like you I'm always glad to get home. Hope you make it up in time in the morning. Will be praying for it. *smiles* and really glad to hear your mum is home and doing great! Love and ~hugs~
Hey Denise. Glad to hear your Mam is out of the hospital and back on the mend. Good luck to K tomorrow for a great day back at school. I hear ya on the getting up issue - I'm tired!!!!!
That was me Denise up above - it wouldn't let me log in!

Hi Denise,
Back to School already? When I read that my nose crinkled. I know it is coming but I am not ready for it. Where did summer go? HUGS
Yay!!! I'm glad your mother has been able to go home and I pray she will now recover quickly and fully, and feel lots better again!
We started back to school on August 4th so we have been at it a couple of weeks now. It was definitely tough to get back to the routine of early rising! I'm a night owl and love to be up late, but HATE getting up so early in the morning! You girls will do fine though! And 2nd grade - can't believe how time flies!
I've done several Beth Moore studies over the years and like you, LOVE her wit and her way of bringing scripture to life! She's a great speaker and communicates truth so well.
Come by for a visit - I've posted some CUTE pictures! : )
Have a great first week of school!
Hugs

Hi Denise, it has been a while since I have been by to visit. Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the Beth Moore conference. My mom went to that in Kentucky several weeks ago. She loved it. Maybe someday I will get a chance to go.
Hope Kristen has a great first day of school. Tori's first day of her senior year is tomorrow. Yikes, I am getting old.
Have a awesome week.
Hugs!
Hi sweetie,
What a relief, your sweet Mam is home and on the mend...wonderful. Enjoy your chat with her.
What happened to your summer???? How can school be going back already...it just doesn't seem possible. I remember Kirsten starting school and now she'll be in 2nd grade! I'm up at 6.30am each morning too, and I am not a morning person so I sympathize.
I'm so pleased you had such a great time down in San Antonio at Beth Moore's conference. I have fond memories of San Antonio and the river walk...so pretty. Have you done that? You've got to do the canal boat ride at night next time you're in San Antonio. We even found an "Australia" shop there.
It was fun to watch the closing ceremony for the Olympics and see those good old red London buses. Can't wait to see what London does in 2012!
I'll be back to check on your Mam, but I'm so pleased she is home.
With love, xx
glad you had a good time. Back to school time already. The children here have about a week left now, I can't believe how quickly it's their six week hols have flown, though I'm sure all the kids would disagree!
Hope you can get up easily this morning. Have a great day xx
Mornin' D! Did you & Kiki make it up on time??
I'm thrilled that you had such a blast at Beth Moore. I saw her on a "live feed" concert about a year ago ~ can't imagine how cool to see her "live" live.
Our ladies' group is doing an Anne Graham Lutz study this Fall. It should be good too.
So glad to hear your Mam is home and feeling some better. Hopefully she will regain her strength quickly. Enjoy your chat with her (if you haven't chatted with her already).
Have a super good day & hope Kiki enjoyed her first day back to school!!
Big hugs,
xoxo
yeah, you've been there too long! Banksy is a well known 'street artist' (let's not say grafitti!). His work is actually brilliant, and half the fun is no one is certain who 'Banksy' really is. His works of art suddenly appear. Some councils have painted over his drawings, which is a real shame. He's not like the normal graffiti artist who just daubs his name everywhere, his work is clever, witty , and usually has some kind of message. You can read about him by copying and pasting this link

I've just been reading about a meat and coke cola recipe on a slow cooker forum (I am so sad, I turn slightly obessesive when I want to get something), and I am fairly sure that Nigella has a recipe using it too. We do have onion soup mix here, I take it you mean the dry stuff? I plan to have a lot of fun trying new stuff out, but only if I think we'd eat it. Bill can be a bit funny with foods. For example, he doesn't really like rice as a savoury dish, but loves it as a pudding. Which doesn't really relate to what we're talking about, but what I mean is that I am best off sticking to plain and tried and tested.
must go. have a lovely Monday, and ooh to whatever is 'on it's way'! Thank you for that! xx
HI Denies how awesome you got to go to the Beth Moore Live Conference. I've read done many of her bible studies at our church with the ladies. she is awesome. Big hugs
