Awww...happy birthday to your sweet Mam. I hope she has a wonderful day, and that she is getting stronger each day. What a wonderful pic of your Mam with Kristen. I'm sure she reminds your mam of you at the same age since she looks so much like you.
Oh yes, that darn scones turned out way too good, rose beautifully and were extra good....unfortunately, I ate way too many of them and yes, I do regret it...how stupid of me. Back to the grind! Yes, I served them with fresh whipped cream and jam...and the calories lept off the plate and onto my hips within mili-seconds! Oh boy they were so good. Dave and Matt savoured them too and judging by the empty container and the small bit of cream left, they were appreciating by all. Why can't the food we love be good for us!!!!! So....it sounds like you're being way better than me. I'm hanging out for some Cadbury chocolate but am doing my best to stay busy and ignore that little 'eat me' voice.
Hope your week is off to a great start. Do you watch Martha? Her new show for the season starts today. Melissa told me you get it on the 15th and we get it on the 16th (today) at the same time. I enjoy her crafts and ideas....and yes, her cooking, so I've set it up to record it.
Happy Belated Birthday to your Sweet Mamma, D. I bet you wish you could have been there to celebrate with her in person but at least you were there this summer to enjoy her! How is she feeling these days??
