I wasn't going to join in with Tablescape Thursday this week, but after a quick jaunt up to Kohls this morning, I just had to show off my lovely bargain buys (you all know how I like a bargain). I went out walking around the neighborhood again this morning (boy can my leg muscles feel it!), and as a reward I allowed myself to run up to Kohls and see if I could find anything in the sales. Housewares were what I had in mind. . . . what with all this talk about fall and decorating, I am really in a 'nesting' kind of mood.
So, without further ado, I give you my 'Feeling Fall-ish' tablescape for this week :-)

Here's what my bargains were. . . . I bought 4 place mats, 4 yellow napkins, 4 terracotta napkins and 4 napkin rings. Wanna know the price?

The green woven placemats were $1.69 each! Not only can I use them for this time of year, but I also can see how well they will look for a Spring look, with daffodils and tulips (perhaps even for Easter).

The 4 terracotta napkins. . . . .79c each! You heard right,
79c.
Keep that number in your head ;-)
The yellow napkins - take a guess . . . . . yup! 79c each. And the pretty napkin rings, you guessed it. . . . . 79c each!!!!

Everything else I already had in the house. The sunflowers are those I used last week (from the dollar store). The ivy plant usually sits on my kitchen counter, and the candles are usually on the kitchen windowsill or near the fireplace.

I tried following
Susan's advice by not using a flash to take photos and used my tripod instead. It's hard to get the lighting right, but I see how not using a flash can make the room look warm and cozy in some shots.

Ok, so it's off to do housework for me. If you'd like to see more lovely tablescapes hop on over to Susan's blog at
Between Naps on the Porch. Y ou won't be short on some great ideas for your table, whatever the occasion.

~WOW! Denise your Fall tablescape is gorgeous! The scroll candles are so pretty and I love them as the centerpiece. The napkins and rings are so beautiful too.
You did a lovely job on every single detail. The colors are perfection! They are so warm and vibrant. I think it's great that you added the fresh pops of soft green. Nice contrast. You are really talented at tablescaping my friend!
Have a wonderful Holiday weekend.
~Blessings, ~Melissa :)
This is so pretty, Denise! I love everything about it, so warm...Christine
That is one fabulous fall tablescape!
I'm getting fall fever and am starting to decorate. I just finished a fall table centerpiece. Maybe I'll do a fall tablescape for next week, too.

Great finds at Kohls and a pretty table. I do not have a Kohls close to my home so I have not been there since the Spring & I would be in trouble if I lived closer to one:)

Kohls had a big sale today didn't they? We love going there when in NC. We got our fondue for 1/2 price because we could use Kohl's dollars from our purchases the week before. I also picked up a few Fall kitchen towels.
Your table looks beautiful. What does Jason say on Thursdays when he comes home to such a beautifully decorated table?
Well, I'm just so jealous that you can whip up such a pretty table so fast. Love it!

What wonderful bargains. I love the soft green of the placemats and the wonderful yellow and terracotta of the napkins. Your napkin rings are just so pretty. You did such a wonderful job and your pictures turned out great. Hugs, Marty
Another BEAUTIFUL tablescape. You sooo blow me away with these. You are very talented and have an eye for great colors!
That is such a pretty table! The napkins were a steal. I should go see if my Kohl's has them. Your table is a nice introduction into fall without being so orangish, I think. Thanks for visiting me today too. Have a great weekend!
Hi Denise! Great bargains. Kohls is nice for housewares and candles and things. I love china/tableware and could have so many different settings if I had room for them and if I didn't live in earthquake country. The table looks lovely and the green will work well for spring. That apple green is so popular right now in kitchens. (((Hugz)))
Not only is your 'scape lovely but it is just the right amount of fall decor for the transition from summer to autumn. I love how you did the centerpiece with the ivy, sunflowers and candleholders. You got a great deal on the napkins/rings and placemats and they are all wonderful.

This is so cheerful and colorful! My cup of tea! I have a Kohls right across the highway, but I have yet to find pretties like you have displayed here! I love your tablescape, and your bargains!

Hi Denise,
I'm thinking I HAVE to head straight to the local Kohl's. I didn't realize they had such beautiful tablescaping "raw materials" ... and had such great sales!
Thanks for your visit and the thoughtful comment you left. I'm following your blog now and I'll definitely be back to check out future tables! I like the effect you achieved without the flash ... always good to follow Susan's advice ... it's helped me tremendously!

Oh my goodness this is pretty! And the bargains make it even prettier! Now I know that our Kohl's wasn't having that great sale! Lucky you!
Such a beautiful table!! I hope I don't make you cry when I tell you I haven't even used so much as a placemat in YEARS. And we use plastic dishes at every meal. I do crack out the real stuff for company, but that is pretty seldom.
Thanks for stopping by and good luck with your September spending challenge!!
This is all very pretty! Love the color combination! Great bargains! I think I need to go to Kohl's and see if they still have some bargains!
Katherine
Wonderful table!! What bargins you scored as well! Great job!
Wow, this is SO beautiful and great bargains too! Thanks for stopping by - I've been trying to plan my menu for the week and so far not doing so well! Maybe I'll get inspired tomorrow!?? :-)
Hi Denise, I just love how you put your lovely tables together. Just looking is getting me in the mood to do something. There is just so much to do and never enough time. But I am enjoying my grandbabies. Hugs

If you hadn't told us, I would never have guessed that this table was created with such bargains! Such pretty colors. Yes, those placemats will be wonderful almost any time of the year. Of course at that price, you could use them once and get your money's worth out of them! laurie
Nice, but you failed to give the total price....Ha! They all go together so nicely....Hey you might be able to use the placemats for the Christmas Holidays--you know green and red. Great Bargains!
How inviting! Kohl's and Stein Mart always have great sales...
Home Goods does too!
