Brrrrrrrrr.....

yes, that means it's getting even colder here! Very chilly today and tomorrow we are getting a cold front move in?! What? Seriously! It's going to get colder? I must be getting soft in my old age, or I've been in Texas too long, cos 50 degrees is cold to me now. Tomorrow we'll have a high of about 31 and a low of 22.

I'm so glad I opted to have a fireplace in this house. Let me tell you, Jason nearly talked me out of it.... I think he's glad he didn't. Today I had to go out and buy firewood, (because we'd just about ran out) so I can light a fire this afternoon, and no doubt all day tomorrow. Don't think I'm complaining though, after the heat we endured this past Summer I wouldn't dare. No, I really don't mind that it's this cold, because it usually doesn't last all that long.

Take this picture for instance... this was the end of February last year, it was over 80 degrees that day and the kids wanted the pool out to keep cool!

I'm sure this cold spell wont' last long either, before long we may be back up in the 60's! For now though I'll enjoy our cozy log fire.

On a completely different note... who watched Biggest Loser last night? and loved it! :-)

Hi Denise! It doesn't take long to get used to living in a warmer climate. Our friend who worked at Buckingham Palace said he's take chicken out of the freezer and it wouldn't defrost for days. :)

The school is a preschool but also had a program for 2 year olds called Twadllers or something like that. I agree that gym, music programs are best but it'll be hard because I also have Jacob to drag along.

I've never watched The Biggest Loser... I know, hard to believe! I also have never watched Big Brother. I know everyone thinks I'm a reality show junkie but I actually just have a select few.

you would not like to be back here right now, it is so cold. Coldest I've known it for a long time. I've read people poo poo the amount of snow not really being a lot, but when it's on top of ice, it is seriously dangerous. We haven't thawed out since the cold snap started mid December. I don't mind - I'm home with Humbug, so we're fine. But I do worry when Bill is out on the road (like today). Too many accidents on the road lately.

Your paddling pool photo makes me feel so cold! ha ha ha. Time to make a brew and a hot water bottle! xx

I would give anything for it to be warm enough to be in a pool. I am already tired of the snow and I haven't even seen the worst of it yet. It is 19 degrees and SNOWING. Another snow day for my son. Stay warm.

Hi Denise! We took the boys to the park today and there was another set of grandparents there with their 2 1/2 year old grandson. They were from Austin... out here for the BCS Bowl game at the Rose Bowl. Their grandson attends a Montessori preschool in Austin and they raved about it. :)

Survivor should be really interesting with so many of the best players from past seasons. I'm looking forward to it! (((Hugz)))

Hi Denise,

I'm with you on the cold weather -- not complaining. I'd much rather be cosied up by the fire than be in the midst of our horrible summer heat!

Blessings,
G
