Taking the plunge. . . . .Woo Hoo!

Yes, I'm plunging in to the wonderful world of Etsy - All Things Hand Made! Those of you who know me well know how much I love knitting. I have been knitting since I was 8 years old when my dear sweet Mam had the patience of a saint to teach me.

I have always loved to knit small gifts for family and friends and after giving it many hours of thought I have now decided to start selling my little gifts. Of course I'm a little nervous, there are so many wonderful knitters on Etsy I'm sure I'll be lost in the crowd, but that's ok. I'm not out to make a ton of money, but more for the enjoyment of sharing my craft with those who don't (or can't) knit but want to buy that 'hand made' gift for someone special.

I have started small, making sweet little washcloth and dishcloth sets,. I listed the little pink set above yesterday and it has already sold! Over time (and certainly when the weather turns cooler in the Fall) I may add hats and scarves and mittens and lots of other things too - I have a lot of ideas, the key is finding the time to knit them all :-)

This is a big Woo Hoo day for me, so I am thrilled to link up to sweet Marla for her wonderful Woo Hoo Wednesday party. I am excited to share my news and hope you don't mind me blatantly promoting my 'new little shop' on here. I don't have much in it right now but please feel free to check it out HERE and let me know what you think.
Have a wonderful and happy Hump Day, and don't forget to check out the other great participants of WHW!

Hi Denise,
Congrats on your new site ;) My sister is a big knitter. She even use to sell her sweaters to a female newscaster on our local news channel many years ago. It was neat to watch her deliver the news wearing my sisters sweaters. She just did that in her spare time. Hope you have a wonderful evening. I am off to dinner.
Hugs, Dru

Wow, Denise! I've seen some of your knitting creations. . . you're really, really good! How exciting that you've opened your own Etsy shop. I'd say that's definitely worthy of a "Woo Hoo"!!

I need to check out your shop, since I'm one of those poor souls who doesn't even know how to hold knitting needles. I wish I could come to Texas and have you teach me. :)

Way to go! I'm a little jealous but not patient enough to do it myself. :)
