A Picture Post

Hi everyone! The end of Thanksgiving brings the start of the Holiday season. Did any of you brave the early morning sales? Get any good deals? I heard my neighbor Cheryl go out at 4.37am on Friday morning, a brave soul she is!

We are busy putting up the rest of the Christmas decorations, well I should say ‘I’ am busy, Kristen keeps saying she wants to help but then goes off and plays on her new Wii game or outside with Connor, and Jason… well, he never does any of it :-(  I’ll have to try and put the outside lights up myself later today or tomorrow.

I thought I’d share a few more photos of Thanksgiving and Kristen’s birthday while I get on with the decor again today!

We had her 'cul-de-sac’ friends over on Wednesday for Pizza and cake.

More presents to open on Thanksgiving morning.

This is the pretty ‘wolf necklace’ Cheryl made her. It had a little charm attached too that says ‘wolf girl’. She loves it.

DSCF3858 I bought her a Snuggie, she’s wanted one for ages. This is the local college one . . . Go Longhorns!

and money gifts from the family back home - Thank you Nenna, Nana and Michael:-)

I know a lot of you have asked for my ‘Snowtini’ recipe. You can find it on Foodnetwork, but I’ll be sharing it with you in my next post, along with a very new and ‘unusual’ cocktail I created myself!

Have a great Saturday!

Denise

Hey Denise,

Stopping by to say that I love reading your blog and all the ideas there. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas season to come. Sorry I am MIA for the moment. But it has been for a very painful reason.

Take care and Enjoy! Danna

Happy Birthday to Kristen. I didn't know she was into wolves...thought it was horses!! Her cake was beautiful! I hope she had a wonderful day!

I can see you had a wonderful dinner! And Black Friday...I did that from the comfort of home on my laptop. Lots of great deals out there. I have to say I am half done with my shopping! {Sigh of relief!}

Have a good weekend, Denise!

XO,
Jane

Very neat birthday cake! My daughter had a stuffed animal wolf named Dakota when she was little and she LOVED it. She still had him sitting on her book shelf! What a fun birthday theme and birthday for your daughter!

Oh Wow!! You put up the outside lights too? Karl dooes that, but I do the inside. Karl is putting up a shed though, so it is all going to have to wait a couple of days.
Love your pictures!! Have a nice weekend. ((BIG HUGS))!!

Wow - what a COOL cake!! I love it! Happy Birthday to sweet Kiki!

No Black Friday shopping for me - this madness is insane. I watched on tv again as folks rushed through the doors of one store and knocked someone down and he had a messed up vertebrae in his back because of it.

Thanksgiving was wonderful as always. It's my favorite holiday. Now comes the hard time of year for those living paycheck to paycheck...how to get through Christmas? : / SIGH.

Try to pace yourself on the Christmas decor. It's a lot of work and I feel for you having to do it all yourself. I don't fare much better around here as far as help goes, but we don't do outside lights so that helps. I LOVE your new Christmas blog header. :)

Have a great week! I'm going to try to write a bit in my blog.. probably not daily but hopefully more regularly. You've inspired me!

HUGS

What a fabulous cake for Kristen. What a good mom, birthdays around holidays are hard. My oldest has hers 4 days before Christmas so I know firsthand. Looks like you had a great one.
