. . . . not to mention no fun when you can't find what you want! Yesterday I decided it was time for a trip to the mall. I've stayed home every day since Jason left (other than a trip to the grocery store) so I thought it would be nice to get out for a couple of hours. I went on a mission - to find new swim wear! Yes, just the thought of it gives me shudders too. And long story short I wasn't successful.I don't know why, but over here they insist on selling bikinis and tankinis separately, and I can't for the life of me ever find a top and a bottom (that I like) to match. If I see a top in my size, then I usually can't see the bottoms in my size. And half the time there aren't even any co-ordinating bottoms - they all just look like one big mess on the hangers (imho)!
But I did buy Kristen some new swim wear (typical, you find something quite easy when you're not looking for it). We passed the Disney store and Kristen wanted to look in. Their swim wear was on sale, so I got this cute two piece for her for just $10. Also picked up some new flip flops for her too.
And for me. . . . cos I was not coming home empty- handed! I got some nice smelling foam soaps from Bath and Body Works. They're for around the house, but still, it felt like a treat for me.
The scents are 'Wild Honeysuckle', Midnight Pomegranate' and 'Warm Vanilla Sugar'.Tonight is book club at my house - yay, I'll actually get to speak to adults!!!

Have your tried Penny's or Kohls? They have lots and you can get tops and bottoms in different sizes.
I think the honeysuckle would smell so sweet! I love Kristen's bathing suit. It is cute! I hate shopping for a bathing suit too. I only do it every couple of years. I got my last one out of either Lands End catalog or LL Bean. Can't remember which though. Have a great day. Hugs
I haven't bought a swimming costume for years. I don't like swimming and I don't like wearing a cossie either!
I agree that shopping is hard to do, that's why I love the Next catalogue so much. Apart from this summers (which I think was full of tat for blokes and women, though humbug got tons of stuff), it's usually brilliant, and I can always find something I like. And it's why I prefer to buy bags, shoes and sparkles, instead of clothes. Hate changing rooms in shops too, in my opinion they are just evil!
Thanks for your email, I had to laugh at the subject title! ;o) Thought of you the other day. I was trying to find the front cover of a Vogue from the '80's, because I remembered it triggered off my love of fashion,and I managed to buy an outfit similar to the one on the cover. It had a cropped jacket to it, which seems to be something that has stuck with me ever since. I might write about it tomorrow, I'll see. I'm sure everyone is yawning their heads off at my prattling on lately!

I like the seperate swimsuit sizes for fit but I know what you mean if they're picked over and can't find anything that matches.

Ya know... seeing your pic of your soaps there reminds me of our first visit. You had B&BW soap in your powder room and I'd never seen them before. I think it was the apple one if I remember correctly. It was after that, when we got to NC that summer that I began stocking up! It's all your fault - hee hee. Just kidding of course. Did you get them on a good sale? I get flyers in my email and saw they had a big sale this month. Of course I wasn't in the States for a driving trip to get any. They'll have the sale long ended probably when I get there in a few weeks :-( Oh well!

Wow I love your soaps & these seem to be foaming ones that come out as foam. I love it. I have kiss my face pink grapefruit ones like this & love them. I would love the pomegranate one & all of them LOL

Hi Denise! I've been in 120 or higher in the Palm Springs area. You just stay in the pool all day and the nights are gorgeous. Las Vegas (near Hoover Dam) can get that hot, too! Have a great weekend! (((Hugz)))
