I know we have a community pool but I can't get to it every day (and I don't intend to even try) so I went out last week and bought Kristen a little paddling pool for the back yard - just something she and Connor can splash about in now and then. The picture below is Kristen, Connor and Emily playing around in our backyard last Saturday evening - believe it or not this is around 7.45pm and the sun was still bright and hot! It's round about this time of year that I miss the pool we had in our custom home!
We had put up the canopy (something we bought years ago when we went camping,) earlier in the day to give the pool some shade. I hate the idea of the kids being exposed to too much sun, no matter how much sunscreen they have on them, they still get tan marks and I just don't believe it's good for them. So for quite a while they had shade, but later in the evening they obviously didn't. I've already emptied the pool of water and put it away, I shall take down the canopy today incase it rains! And may get it out again on weekends when the kids play out a lot.

I think I mentioned a little while ago that my in-laws have offered to take Boo when we go to England so he doesn't have to go in a boarding kennel. And I am SO happy about this, I just hate the thought of my little boy sitting every day waiting for us to come take him home. I think Boo is going to have a fun time ~ here he is with 'Papa' last Saturday afternoon.

Hi Denise!! How fun to have the pool for the kids to play in and so easy to clean up. It is hot here today too, not as hot as it is there, but still warm.
I am glad you found somewhere for Boo to go when you go to England. That will be so much better.
Have a fun week with Kristen's activities!! ((BIG HUGS))!!
Hello Denise, how nice to have Boo stay with your in laws, I'm sure you'll feel better. When do you go to England? You must be looking forward to it. Have a great week, hugs
Hi Denise! Is it just me or does Boo resemble your FIL? LOL!!! I'm sure that will be a big load off your mind to know that Boo is being well cared for and not lonely in a kennel! (((Hugz)))
Hi Denise,
Wow,are our realities in regards to the weather different. It is nice to know that someone is beginning to have a summer. It was in the 50's here and raining all day.
I am happy that Boo will have a little vacation of his own. Hugs!
Darylynn is so naughty! Mind you, she has a point!!!
That's nice that Boo won't have to be put in a kennel. I absolutely refuse to go anywhere at the moment, because it's just too much hassle with humbug at her age, but also because I can't bear the thought of having to stick Dudley in a cat home. I don't really have anyone we can ask/trust to look after him.And if he can't go with us, we don't go!
Enjoy the rest of your week. Far too hot for me there! You will definitely shiver when you come here, it's still grey and drizzly, there should be a hint of sun tomorrow a.m, but then more cloud and rain later! Welcome Summer, to England!

Hi Denise! Do you think these gaming companies create these shortages on purpose? Either that or all the ebay sellers get their grubby paws on them first. I hope they hit the stores again soon. You already have the wii console s all you need is the game? Justin found one on Craig's List in his neighborhood s he didn't have to pay for shipping. Enjoy theday! (((Hugz)))
