Actually, I'm not totally alone, I have Boo to keep me company :-) But I am staying home today. I had a home inspection scheduled for today. I can't believe we've been in this house nearly a year already (we moved in on December 23rd!). Our one year warranty will be up on that day so we wanted to get a home inspection done just to make sure there aren't any 'issues' we aren't aware of. I'm sure there isn't but better to be safe than sorry!
The inspector just arrived but we've decided to re-schedule. The rain has started again and it's very cold out there. He's worried about getting up on the roof while it's so wet and slippery, and the possibility of falling off his ladder - I can't say I blame him, I'd be worried too and I don't want him to risk a fall. He'll come by on Monday afternoon instead.
The weather is still crazy here. On Monday it was cold, a high of only 50 I think. Yesterday it was 78 degrees by late afternoon and last night around 9pm we get a thunderstorm! Lightening, torrential rain, wind - the works! Today when I took Kristen to school it was only 45 degrees - freezing, brrrrrr!!!
So, today I'm staying home and catching up with housework. Making lists of things I need to do next week in readiness for Christmas dinner etc. I went out yesterday and did a bit more Christmas shopping - a successful trip I'm happy to say. Nothing else to report so I'll bid you all a good day - stay warm, stay safe.

Hey Pal! Sounds like a great day to stay home and put that fireplace on!
We have only a couple days left in California until we go back to the cold and snow :-( I'm not ready yet I have so much to do when I get home to prepare for Christmas. Sounds like you have a good handle on things so far!
Have a great day & "see" you again soon!!
Hugs xo
Hi Densie! I remember you were so brave to be moving right at Christmas time last year! My hairdresser just emailed me today and she's in Austin visiting her daughter who recently moved there. I'm planning on a photo of the USC outfit during the Rose Bowl so will put that on my blog then! (((Hugz)))
Hi Denise,
Sounds like a good day to be indoors then, and I wouldn't be wanting to be on the roof if I were that guy either. Hard to believe it's been a year since you moved in with that sea of boxes.
Hope you get lots done.
Warm hugs, Julie. xx
Hi Denise,
We are hoping to be UP to 43 degrees next week--that would be warm for us since our highs have been in the 20s lately. We are supposed to get snow again tomorrow into Saturday. Better snow than ice! Have a great day sweetie! Big hugs!
On Wednesday it was 6 years since we moved into this house, to the day. It was a Wednesday then, and it was a Wednesday this year. I thought we were crazy to move so close to Christmas, because it was so cold and wet on the day we moved , so you were totally barking! ;o) But, if I recall, you - like us - had thought you'd be moving earlier, but of course things happen with the build and they run behind schedule.
You sound quite busy, and maybe a tad fed up? Soon be Christmas Day, and all the nutty rushing around will be over :o)
Blogger has funny days like that. Do what I said and you won't have any problems - with static graphics and animated and I promise they will always show up and work
have a lovely Friday xxx
Hi Denise, hope you are busy with holiday things and doing well. I know Kristen's little who was a big hit! ~hugs~
