Still in the mood for shopping (despite my unsuccessful search for a swim suit this week) I went out again on Saturday and this time to the '
outlet mall' that's just about 20 minutes from us. And I'm happy to say I had some success in finding something. Not swim wear mind you, but I really didn't go looking for that again.

Sadie has put me in the mood for Fall Fashion and I'm trying to think ahead and think what I would like to wear this year. Most years I find myself in 'cheap' jeans and t-shirts and never have a clue what to wear if we ever go out in the evening (not that we do much, but it would be nice if I had something in my wardrobe to wear when I need to). So with that in mind I went looking yesterday for some 'classics' to start my new wardrobe off with.

As you can see I ended up with a lovely pair of shoes that go great with my skirts, capris and my jeans. And they are super comfy. It's not easy for me to find shoes that are comfortable from the get go (unless I'm willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money, which I never am), but these babies were on sale at Anne Klein - originally $75 reduced to $59, but with a further 40% reduction, making them only $36. A bargain for sure.

I've tried to take a few shots of them so you can see the detail, and also a couple of shots with my tootsies stuck in them :-) Just don't look too close at my 'badly in need of a pedicure' feet!

I also bought a really nice pair of jeans from AK that feel good, look good and were on sale also. So that's two essentials to start off my new wardrobe - nice shoes and a good pair of jeans. I was also looking at some white classic shirts (short sleeve or sleeveless) but I didn't really have too much time. I told Jason I'd be home after a couple of hours as we had other errands to run. BUT. . . I know where I'll be headed the next time I want a shopping spree, and I think I may be just as successful the next trip out :-)
Today is the start of VBS, so I'll be gone most of the morning with Kristen. Will update on how our first day went later.

ah, I'll make a shoe loving shopaholic out of you yet! :O)
LIke your shoes very much. And yes, they are certainly classic looking, which is good, you can never go wrong with classic looks. That's why the white blouse and jeans look works on so many people. It's timeless.
Ok. Have been quiet this weekend, but that's 'cos I didn't want to say to you 'bought sk and will try to get it in the post', I wanted to say 'Sk is in the post for you now'. And that's what I can say! Humbug and I have been out this morning and got it in the post,s o with a bit of luck, this time next week it will be with you.
have a great day. lots of love xxx
Those shoes are nice. I try to wear heels but I don't succeed in them.
I am such a big shoe girl myself, so I never miss an opportunity to picj up cute shoes. Yours should go great with lots of things. My daughter Brooke and I have always got to check out the shoes when we go shopping.
I take it Jason arrived back safely, and no-one else got sick then?
I hope your next shopping trip out will be sucessful for you also, and what the heck, it's fun to look isn't it!
I'd better go and see if it's my turn in Scrabble. Have a great day. xx
Ooooh I love a good trip to the outlet malls as you know my Friend! I think 90% of my wardrobe if not 95% is from the outlet malls - hee hee. Can't wait to see a pic of you in your jeans. And definitely they will have some of the nice cotton shirts you're looking for. I found a couple of really cute eyelet ones (the one I was wearing at your house that day) at Van Huesen at the outlet mall. They had plain ones too! Go back & check if you get a chance ;-)
Hope VBS was fun... I know how much you LOVE being around tons of kiddies - heehee
Love ya xo
Cute shoes!!! :)
Hi Denise! That's great that you have an outlet center close by. We have one about 20-30 minutes away, too, and I should go more often. They have a Coach store there. Well done on the bargains. I think your toes look real nice! Enjoy VBS! (((Hugz)))
