My Little Picasso

A few months ago Kristen brought home from school a picture she had drawn using oil pastels. It was a self-portrait and full of fun colors. Jason and I both thought it would be nice to frame some day and hang it in our game room. That 'some day' has finally come. Here's a picture before I framed it (I thought I might not be able to avoid a glare on the frame) . .

And here it is all framed. . . (I avoided the glare from the flash)

Little Ms. Picasso poses with her portrait...

And here is a better view of where it's sitting in the room. Doesn't the wall color go well with it! (oh and look you can see I have another curtain sewn and hanging!).

Completed game room pics may be coming to a blog near you soon! (but don't hold your breath).

It's a fantatic pciture, and well worth framing. Humbug did a drawing yesterday and informed me that it was me. It's really impressive, though I hope I don't have the same manic looking eyes! ha ha ha.

Keep meaning to say how impressed I am with your curtains because of the straight line between patterned and plain fabric. I am rubbish at hems and straight lines, so if I tried anything like that, they would just look higgledy piggledy. You've done them so well.

Have a lovely weekend :O)

Hey Denise,
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a sweet comment.
I just wanted to come by and encourage you. I know how you feel when it comes to the raising of your daughter and what you desire for her. My Dh has not always been the 'leader' of our family and that was a struggle for me. He is wonderful and a sweet lovable man, but for a long time didn't see the sense in church also.
God impressed it on my heart to just love him where he's at and continue to raise our girls in the instruction that HE - God- was giving me. Even when Daddy wasn't going to church- we did. When Daddy didn't pray - we did. God honored that.
My DH has since given his life over to Christ, but we both are still a work in progress.
As I look through your blogs, it seems that you are a very blessed child of God and have a beautiful family. God is at work and may you be encouraged to run the race God has set before you.
May you find joy in leading your little ones to God and praying always for your husband to find his way.

Many many blessings!!!

In Christ alone.
Mikki

That looks awesome. It matches so well. I love how colorful the room is. Hanging old board games on a game room wall is a cheap and colorful way to decorate.

Wow.. Kiki did an awesome job with drwing this. I love the way that kids don't have inhibitions and draw from the heart. The green face looks perfect and I think it's a great encouragement to our kids to frame and hang their artwork. Another way of conveying how proud you are of her. Yes, the colour match is terrific. You're doing a great job with your curtains BTW and they match in nicely with the frame too.

Hope you had a an awesome weekend sweetie. with love 'n hugs. J ;) xx

Hey Denise,

How fun all you have been doing! I just finally posted again for this whole week. I have them scheduled to post for each day. Showing our trip a few weeks ago at a B&B. Farm Town really took my time for blogging "out". :-)
