Changing things around. . .

Remember when I asked you in THIS post if I should move the black buffet back to the hallway or not? Well I finally did move it last week and I moved the hallway table in to the dining room and turned the dining room table around again.

This was the hallway with the small table in it before . . .

I liked it here, but I wasn't as happy with the buffet in the dining room and I liked that in the hallway too, so I changed it back. I also finally painted the mirror black to match it. . .

here it is all finished and back in the hallway. I also moved the 'topper' from the top of the front door and put it above the mirror. I like how it all looks now but need to take better pictures for you all to see. The lighting wasn't very good that day!

The hall table is now in the dining room but not on the wall where the buffet was. . .

the buffet was on the left against the terracotta wall. This is now bare but I've left the shelf there so I can add 'seasonal' things to it.

The two white wooden bunnies were a Goodwill find last week. They had old raffia and blue ribbon around them. I gave them a coat of paint to clean them up (same color) and added a little Easter ribbon . . I think this shelf will be every changing ;-)

It's hard getting a good picture of the table with the dining chairs in the way!

I added my Willow Tree collection here, they used to be in the cabinet where the tv is and you couldn't really see them. Now I feel like they are on display a bit better (now perhaps I can collect more and add more shelves to show them off?)

The flowers were an Easter gift from my sweet neighbor last year. She knocked on the door yesterday as I was making dinner and surprised me with a fresh bouquet of flowers with orange slices in the vase... don't they look pretty?

We had a fun Easter weekend but the days sure did fly by fast and I feel like I'm behind on a lot of things. I'll share more pictures later this week of Kristen and her Easter Bunny treats :-)

I'm linking to Met Monday over at Susan's blog 'Between Naps on the Porch'. And after I get some housework done I'll be visiting all the other wonderful participants :-)

Denise, LOVE your change around!! What a difference with changing the mirror to black paint. Hmmm...that's put an idea in my head now - I want to paint ours black! Everything looks absolutely stunning. You really, really do have an eye for decorating! Love, love, love it all! Have a wonderful week. Hugs!

Hi Denise! Looks great that way! You did a much better job than I was able to trying to photograph the guest bedroom. Of course, it isn't even complete yet as I don't have any of the finishing decor items. Great idea to display your Willow tree angels- they always say that you should incorporate collections into your decor rather than just putting them in a case somewhere. (((Hugz)))
