My sweet friend Judy has been wondering where I am since Wednesday, perhaps some of you have wondered too? I'm still here, I just couldn't think of something to post about on Thursday, nothing much been going on this week and I hadn't set a table for 'Tablescape Thursday', so I let the day pass by without a post. Then Friday came and I didn't join in with Fertilizer Friday because I didn't really have anything new to show - the flowers out front all look the same as they did last week. And here we are Saturday already and can you believe it's MAY!!! Wow, if we're not careful this year will be over with before we know it (I think I say that every year actually)!
So, what's with the title of the post? Tennis? Well I'm off for a quick tennis lesson with Cheryl this morning! Cheryl's idea not mine. We've been walking around the neighborhood together this week, trying to get a couple of miles in a day. Cheryl wants to start getting more active and suggested we try and play tennis. Then she found that the local rec center (where she just started taking her son for 'fencing' lessons) holds an adult tennis lesson each week. That's where we're off to today. It's just a one off lesson (for now) to give us the basic instructions on how to hit the ball (and other simple stuff like that I assume) ;-)
I'm headed out in about 20 minutes, and after that we may stop off at the farmers market :-) I'll be posting my Sunday Musings tomorrow (hopefully with pics of tennis?) so until then, enjoy the day . . . and happy May Day!

I think a little bit of this and a little bit of that days are the best :)
Have fun. I used to play some tennis in highschool with a friend. I haven't played in years. It is good exercise though. Carla
I love golf, have done that foe years with friends...I have not warmed to tennis though..too much darting around for me...hope you will like it and have a good day! Come say hi :D
It sounds like you are going to have a fun day. I never learned to play tennis. I would probably be in better shape had I!

Good luck and have fun!
Hi Denise! Tennis is a great idea! What I love about it is you don't need a lot of expensive equipment and many courts are free and it's something you can do on vacations and well into later years. Smart to get lessons, too, so you don't learn bad habits. Look forward to hearing how you liked it. Remember Joan and her bleacher therapy tennis buddies? :D (((Hugz)))
Hi Denise! You won my drawing for the DSJ Heart necklace! Please send me an email at siestacupcakes@aol.com so I can get your info to send it to you.
Karina
hope you enjoyed the tennis. :o) yes, this year is just hurtling along at pace. Soon be Christmas!!!!! xx
Hope your lesson went well...my hubs wants me to play tennis with him and it usually starts out well but I hate to run and when I play with him I have to do a lot of running so I get frustrated. I need some lessons.
I hope yall had fun playing! Tennis always seems like such a great idea to me but then I hate it every time!
Kristen is so adorable. Boy does time fly by fast!
