Hotspots! What Hotspots?

Yay, look at my lovely clean table :-) This took all of two minutes to clear up and polish! The problem is, it takes about that long to mess it up again. It's a constant battle to keep these 'spots' cleared and cleaned, but I will keep on trying.

I also cleared the counter off and just left a nice candle there. Want to guess how long it will stay like that? No prize for the winner but if you were to say less than a day you might be right ;-) I put it down to pure laziness why these 'spots' just keep getting cluttered. It's something I want to change, I really do and I WILL keep on trying!

It's Friday and I'm going to give the house a little 'home blessing' as Flylady would say. She talks about how she does this each Monday as you're making your 'Control Journal' (see step #5) I did this a little on Monday but I've come to the conclusion that I might have to actually do this twice a week instead of just the once. Not necessarily changing sheets and polishing doors and mirrors, but more the quick dust and vacuum 'room rescue' kind of thing, so the house looks nice and tidy for the weekend. I'll also put laundry away (something I always put off doing and it usually sits for a few days in the laundry room or over the back of a dining room chair! Then, it's off to the pool for me and Kristen :-)

Later tonight I'm popping over to my neighbor Cheryl's for a girlie 'wine and cheese' night :-) I wish you all could join us. Have a great weekend.

You go, girl! You're inspiring me. . . I have too many hotspots to count. I need to cool them down before they turn into fires!

I'm having a bridal shower here tomorrow, so I have to get everything cleaned up before then. Maybe I can travel the FlyLady route with you and keep things all shiny and clean!

Have a great weekend!

It looks great, Denise! I am glad to know that I am not the only one who has trouble with 'hot spots'. Putting up the laundry is the chore I fall short on the most. Have a nice weekend! Carla

Sounds like you are doing a great job using the Flylady's method. It looks nice and neat but I completely understand that it won't stay like that long:) Their names are Jason & Kristen! Happy weekend.

fabulous!
I can now hoover downtairs, wash floors and have a general tidy up in approx 15 minutes. It's not perfect, but it doens't have to be. :O) 'good enough' is fine by me!

I am the same with hotspots. But you are so right, just a couple of minutes putting things away and having a clean and it's all back to how it should be.

I love Flylady for this reason, she knows full well that it's not about non stop cleaning, and a few minutes here and there is enough to get things looking tidy.

Have a super weekend xxx

Hi Denise, my 'hotspots' don't stay uncluttered because Mike is a master messer & clutterer - not sure there is such a word, but if not, I just invented it for him. I had to smile - you made me feel 'so much better. Honestly, I thought I was the only once that sometimes let laundry hang over the back of a dining room chair! I hate the going up & down the stairs (I wish my laundry room was upstairs), so I admit, I let it sit there sometimes. Hope you had a lovely evening with your friends. Hugs!

Hi Denise! I'm a new reader! I found you through Judy! I love the look of your 'cleaned' spots! I love Flylady, I just need to use her tips more often!

Not long ago I set my timer for 15 minutes to clean the bathroom and I got the bathroom and most of the kitchen done in that small time! I just need to do that everyday! But like you...laziness creeps in!

Enjoyed reading...can't wait to read more!
