Vroom Vroom!

Well today is the start of Spring Break - unfortunately someone didn't tell the weather! I woke up this morning at 6.30am to the sound of thunder! Actually it was really 7.30am but my bedside clock was still set to pre-time change! I so didn't want to get up, so I turned over and snoozed for another half hour. When I finally got up, Kristen was already awake and playing on the Wii in the game room!

What she won't be playing with today is this. . . . . . . .

This is her new toy. . . Monster Truck Powerwheels by Fisher Price. She bought it with her own money! This was the money she had kept from her birthday and Christmas gifts from both sides of our family! As you can imagine she's having a blast driving it around the cul-de-sac each day with Connor or Emily.

Looks to me like someone needs a ponytail in her hair! I usually tie Kristen's hair back when she's out playing, but Daddy had just put this thing together and she wanted to get in it asap!

Jason just left this morning to fly to Denver for another week! He should be back Friday. Kristen and I will be having a quiet break at home this week, just pottering around. Tomorrow I'm hoping the weather is dryer. I had plans to start tidying up the front garden and planting spring flowers. I hope I get the chance to. Other than that I'll just be knitting and keeping up with housework while Kristen plays with Connor. Emily isn't usually around during the week, whether it's school break or not. Her parents both work so she spends the days with her grandparents.

This week I need to get back on track with some healthy eating. My healthy diet has gotten off track these past few weeks and the pounds are starting to creep back on! Today I'm going to try and stick to the South Beach Diet again. I've had eggs and bacon for breakfast with some V8 veggie juice and coffee. It will be a salad for lunch and some fish or chicken for dinner :-) I can't do fish very often when Jason is home because he doesn't even like the smell of it!

I shall try to update more often this week, not that we'll have much news if we're not going anywhere!

Congratulations to Kiki for saving her money to buy a vehicle - hee hee. How cool is that! I showed it to Doug too and it made him smile :-)

I wish my scale would move! I've been working out for a month & cutting back on my eating and watching what I eat & it hasn't moved a pound. Grrr. I have though noticed things "shifting" so the legs in my jeans are more wrinkly... is that the right word?? lol

Hope you & Kiki have fun home together while Jason's out of town.

Love ya xo

Hi Denise! Awesome little truck there. :) No pink Barbie cars for her! ;) Our wet bat has cabinets below, a stainless steel sink and glass shelves against a back mirror. It's very 70's and needs to be updated. I'm waiting to take a photo of the paint- Jeff's doing the baseboards today and then we're going to hire someone to do crown moulding in the family room and 3 of our 4 bedrooms.

Hope your weather improves so K can drive and you can garden. (((Hugz)))

Wow, I love Kirsten's truck, it's awesome! What kid wouldn't love one of those! I bet she has a ball in it. Great she saved up the money as it reaches them the value of things.

I'm with you getting back on track with healthy eating. You're doing great. Great idea to have a breakfast cook up with lean bacon and egg as well as the V8 juice and coffee. I've just cut out coffee creamer and I really miss it, but I know it's full of trans fats so I'm determined to not have it.

Have a nice relaxing week, and before you know it hubby will be home.
