For starters we had of course the cheese fondue. Jason wanted to try the cheddar fondue because we always usually get the classic swiss, with emmenthal and gruyere cheese (my favorite). I say 'always' but this is probably only the 4th time we've been to the fondue restaurant. The cheddar was yummy but I still like the stronger taste of the classic. Following that comes a salad. I had ceasar, and Jason had the house salad. He really liked the dressing on his salad and I just noticed on the Melting Pot website that you can order their dressings! I think I will call them next week to see if they sell it at their restaurant or if it's just online. Either way I will get Jason a bottle of it as a 'thank you' :-) After all I am 'nagging' him to eat healthier, so lots of salads with a bit of yummy dressing on the side will be nice.
The entree is next. We chose the 'Fondue Feast'. This included: Filet Mignon Medallion, Balsamic-Marinated Sirloin, Garlic and Herb Chicken, Citrus Pork Tenderloin, White Shrimp, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Roasted Red Pepper Rigatoni and Fresh Vegetables! Needless to say we didn't manage to eat ALL of this (gotta save room for the chocolate!). And finally for dessert we chose the Bailey's Irish Cream Dream chocolate fondue, served with fresh strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, toasted marshmallows, pound cake and brownies for dipping! Are you full yet?
After all that we came home and watched Spiderman 3 on dvd. What a ridiculous movie! I liked the previous two, but this one was just silly. Still we both really enjoyed the whole night together :-)
Tonight we're watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - I've heard that wasn't so good either, but I'll reserve judgment until I've seen it.

Hi Denise,
I have heard of the Melting Pot. We have one in Tacoma. My friends Renee and Susie have been there and I have heard them talk about it. It seems like it would be lots of fun. I am so glad that you have such a nice evening. The dressing "thank you" is such a good idea.
Hi Denise! We have a Melting Pot right near us. I think Jessica's been to it. That sounds really delicious with all the different fondues and that would be a lot of work to duplicate at home! You really did have a feast! Good job on date night, Jason! (((Hugz)))
yum, sounds lovely. I don't think I've ever had a fondue in my life. I should do really, I love cheese!
I have a mag to send . The SKFeb still isn't around, which is v. annoying, but Bill was in town yesterday, and took a chance. He of course got the wrong mag, but I will send it to you anyway and then get the SK when I see it. It's knitting, Jan. I'll get it in the post this week. :O) I had to smile when he came home with his little WHSmith bag, he was so pleased. Good try though! I thought you'd like it anyway, as an extra. It has some kind of hook thing with it. Not sure what it is, but you may be able to use it.
have a lovely Sunday xxx
Hi Denise!! It sounds like a wonderful evening!! The food sounds great!! I am glad you had a nice time.
Have a nice week!! ((BIG HUGS)!!
Hi Denise! I tried freecycle.org and Craig's List. Craig's List worked right off the bat. I got about 5 calls the first hour and gave it to the first caller and he picked it up. They have a free section so you could use that or at least try to see if you could get some money. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
