So anyway, I guess I should have given you some kind of scale for the size of the ball... here's Kristen with the ball and as you can see it's much bigger than a fabric softener ball, and just slightly bigger than the hamster ball we had for Mr. Monkey! So can you guess now what it is?

OK . . . here's the answer

It's an ICE CREAM MAKER!!!!!!!! You don't believe me? CLICK HERE! (and if that link doesn't work, go to Amazon.com and search Icecream Ball) Kristen got this from Grandma and Papa for Christmas (as well as other gifts) and we tried it for the first time the other night. In one end you put ice and rock salt, and in the other end you put the cream, sugar and vanilla. Roll it around and shake it for about 10 minutes it says, then add more ice (because of course it's melting by now from the salt added) and you also need to scrape down the sides of the cream - this part we forgot to do! Then you roll for another 10 minutes. When we were finished we had very frozen cream around the inside of the metal bowl (kind of like a thermos shape) but the inner stuff was still pretty soft. Next time we should get good results if we scrape down the sides. But as you can see from the picture, Kristen was well pleased with her efforts :-)

Hi Denise!
Guess what?? Kelly has one of those Ball Icecream Makers!! Dan bought it for her over the summer at Cabelas. LOL I think she used one time and the icecream was kind of soft.
Love the pics of Kristen. :)
Lots of hugs
Okay... that is WAY COOLER than a fabric softener ball - hee hee. I Scream, You Scream, We all scream for Ice Cream!! Yummy!!
Oooh btw... I mailed your package a couple days ago (did I tell you that already?? I think I did yesterday). Let me know when it arrives!
Love you busy lady!! Hugs xo
HI Denise what a neat idea an ice cream maker that's a ball! how cool is that. Kristen is really growig up! big hugs
Hi Denise, Wow, what a neat idea! I've never heard of this ice cream ball, but looks like something that would be great to buy for Elliot & Emily to have some fun with (not to mention 'yummy' fun!). Loved your clean kitchen! Kitchen countertops have such a tendency to get cluttered. Good job! Hugs...
that's so funny! Never seen anything like that before! Must be great fun for a child to do, roll it around and then get to scoff the ice cream!
thanks for your encouraging words. :O)
glad you liked the bag! Actually, that's a pretty good price, it's real leather, a v. good copy, and a real one would be in the region of about £900! I think I've spotted a bargain. Though am in a dilemma, have seen a bag the same style (only minus the wording to make it a proper fake), for £22, in red. I don't have any red bags yet, and want one. So am mulling it over, but have to say, I am edging more towards the pink, it's so prettty!!
have a lovely day xx
Hi Denise. Glad Kristen had fun with her ice cream maker. Your kitchen looks great. I can't keep my kitchen clean for the life of me. I hope the kitchen in my next house is bigger. I definitely need more cabinet and counter space. Have a great end of the week sweetie. Big hugs!
have a lovely Friday :O)
