Recipe for. . . . .

. . . . a cozy Friday night (alone)!

Take one pair of comfortable fleecy p.j's (preferably with cute scotty dogs in pink sweaters!). . . . .

. . . . add in a roaring fire, that is so warm and toasty you just can't tear yourself away from it. . .

. . . . and sprinkle with a few good reads :-)

Yes, I'm on my own again tonight, Jason and Kristen have just left to go to his friends again. I didn't get to mention this week that Jason bought a new toy to play with - he's taken it over to his friend's house tonight. It's called Rock Band and you play it on Xbox! I played with it a little last weekend but not as much as Jason! Honestly, I'd rather be knitting. But Jason loves these games. It's a bit like Guitar Hero, but Rock Band has a set of drums and a microphone too. It's rather funny, because if you don't play too well you start losing 'fans' or you get booed off stage. And if you play well, you get better venues to play at, more fans more money etc!

So I get to have a lovely night on my own again, and THIS time I have my sushi in the fridge for dinner, and hopefully I picked a better movie to watch! I went to Blockbuster and had a hard time finding anything I fancied watching. There doesn't seem much out there right now that I'd care to see. I ended up with a romantic comedy starring Ben Stiller, called The Heartbreak Kid. Anyone seen it? And if anyone can recommend a good girlie movie that I can get out for next time let me know.

I'm off to have sushi and knit a little before I put the movie on. Hope you all enjoy your Friday night!

Jason would get along famously with Justin. Justin, of course, has Rock Band and Guitar Hero. He has all 3 game devices- XBox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo- the new one. Justin has a really good voice and lots of musical training so he passed all the singing stuff on the expert level. We watched him on the guitar and it was amazing how his fingers flew. He worked for Activision when he was at UCLA. Jason will have heard of them. He got paid for playing games. :)

Your evening buy the fire sounds nice too. We're off to see a matinee of Juno today. (((Hugz)))

Hi Denise,
Boy, does that sound lovely to me... to have "ME" time. Once again you have inspired me to carve some out for me tonight. Have a great weekend. Hugs

you are sounding very Bridget Jones-ish there Denise! I hate it when Bill is away, but I also love that I only have to cook (or buy stuff in) for myself! :O)
I've had a great afternoon. I decided not to go with Bill and the girl after all,and did some updating on MSG, then had a bath and shaved my leg..oh the bliss of it, not having to do it in about thirty seconds in the shower, then watch the water turn bloody like a scene from Physco! :O) I miss my little girly magoo, and can't wait to see her, but I forgot how nice it is to have time to myself too!

enjoy your weekend. glad the mags arrived! am on the lookout for the next SK now!
