Wow, Thursdays sure come around fast, but I wanted to join in the fun again with Tablescape Thursday, so all this week I've been racking my brain to see what I could come up with. The key to taking part in this fun 'carnival' (for me anyway) is to not spend much money but to use what I have on hand. That's what makes it fun. . . "what can I use that I already have?".
This weekend we're off to the beach with our neighbors for a few last summer days of fun. School starts back in less than 2 weeks, in fact by the time we get home from the beach we will only have 3 days before we start back on Monday Aug 24th. I have some sand in the garage (don't ask me why, I don't even know what we got it for) but it put in mind my tablescape for this week. . . . of course it's a beach theme.

This sure is a fun thing to do though. I hope you've enjoyed seeing the pictures. I think I can honestly say I've been bitten by the 'Tablescape Bug'. . . . how do I know? cos I'm already thinking of next weeks theme!

Since we're so far away from the ocean -- I LOVE beach tables! Yours is very nice!
i always love a good beach...
~Beautiful! Denise you are very creative! I just adore this lovely beachy blue table. The way you made the netting for the center out of pearls is so clever. LOVE it all! ~Wonderful job! :)
Oh wait....it fooled me for a minute and I thought it looked like teeny tiny pearls you had used. Huh? That would be a great idea to use them I think.
~Gorgeous creations here! :)
I want to go to the beach! Great awy to be creative!!
Looks like perfect Summer to me!
So very refreshing from the summer time heat.

So summery too, absolutely perfect!

(p.s no post again today. Nothing to write about really and today is laundry day. I'll be lucky to get any spare time today!) xx
I love that you used real sand! You are right about the space issue--I am running out of room fast! Have fun at the beach with your family!
How fun!! Your family must love this!! What a great mom!! Beautiful table!
The towel is a good idea and it all looks so nice. Have fun at the beach! My daughter went back to teaching and the kids started this past week. Summer just never seems long enough so enjoy the next few weeks.

I love the simplicity of it ~ it's perfect! Very clever to put the printer into use for the lovely graphics. :)
Have a good time at the beach, it sounds like fun!
What a great idea for the tablescape! I'm sure Kristen enjoys it too!
I am sorry you are dealing with such hot temps! I am so glad our heatwave is over, and we're back to rainy, overcast days this week! I'm a British girl at heart, and just can't get into the heat.
Hope you are having a great Thursday! Love & hugs xx
Great thinking with the napkin rings. Your table is a beachy delight!
I love the table setting, comfortable and casual, perfect for lots of visiting long after the meal is eaten.
That is so pretty and YOU are so creative!!!! I LOVE anything having to do with the beach!
Nice job...I think the most satisfying tablescapes are the ones we make with things we have right around the house...it really stirs the creative juices!
Great job, Denise! I know another visitor I have participates in this from time to time- Annie. It's nice you have all these weekday themes to inspire you.
Jess, Ryan & I went to the Lazy Dog Cafe today. I had the Southwest type salad and it was great and Jess enjoyed her sundried tomato pesto chicken pasta. Ryan helped himself to his favorites from our plates- he loves pasta, avocado, tomatoes and chicken and has discoved the fork! :) ((()Hugz)))
Hi Denise your table looks great,I don't know where I was when they dished out creative people, what with you and our Jean I think they missed me out I would'nt know where to start.I think I had too many kids to find the time to do that stuff but I think it looks great, keep up the good work as I love to read your blog. love and miss you loads xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
How wonderful that you are creative enough to think to print those out! I don't think I'd have thought of that one, but it sure is clever. I like shopping the house, and do it often. But I have to admit these Tablescape Thursdays are getting the best of me and I'm haunting Marshalls for dishes! Very innovative and cute tablescape!
Brenda
Love your beachy look - well done.
Pretty beachscape ! You were super creative - love it !!!!!

HI Denise that's very pretty we do this at our church for women's dessert and then we give prizes for it. They set up like 10 tables and 10 women get their names picked from a hat to decorate the tables then we all sit and chat, eat dessert and then have entertainment. It's fun. I love your theme, I haven't see the others but I love summer shells, so I would pick yours for sure. You should check out my summer jewelry I think it suits you. I sell it on my jewelry website or etsy or fire something or other. That one is new to me. Have a great week! hugs
Very creative D! Love it... and can't wait to be diggin' my toes in the sand in a week - ahhhh!
Have a great time at the beach & I'll touch base with you when you get home. I'll have my laptop & hopefully internet in all my travels!
Love ya xo
Great job! I love to see the TTs that are made from what's already in the house!
Enjoy your time at the beach!
Katherine
Happy belated TT! So sorry it took me so long to get back here again. I love that you were using your noodle on this one! The blue runner and shells and even graphics from your computer! very creative!
Have a wonderful weekend!
This is what I love best! To see the innovative ideas that bloggers come up with in displaying their tablescapes! It doesn't take much imagination to display fine china and sterling silver, it stands on it's own, and not to take anything away from that beauty, I do love looking at that, this is what I appreciate so much more! I just love a pretty table whether it's set for the Queen of England, or set for a child's tea party with Teddy Bears!
And seriously, that's my life, it's not elegant, it's not fine china, it's not sterling, it's whatever I lay my hands on!
You did a great job! Love it, especially the sweet pictures!
All the best,
Eileen
I love what you did with thr beach theme Denise. Have fun at the beach. I am blogging while holding Jazmyn. Hugs
